This is the first time out on the road with my Z1 Super Six, after a 5 mile ride there are a few things to address which i talk about in the video and will be following up in later videos.

Many engineers aren't really .. they just made it thru school cuz they were good students. 100 years ago engineering degrees were rare I reckon yet amazing things got designed and built. Talent needs no degree. Paper opens doors though.

It's always sounded like a group of highly aggressive and perfectly synchronized castanet players and a few didjeridu players to me. That, the classic VW, and the Last V8 have the world's best engine soundtracks for me.

While technologically excellent, the added complexity and lack of power gains generally decided manufacturers against sixes. Later fours soon outpowered the CBX. Certainly beautiful engineering.

@@alancsalt I also have heard back then that, It was difficult to keep the inner cylinders cool enough for longevity. So designers went a different direction. I am sure that normal running conditions wont have a problem here. I believe it was the racing environment that would tax the heat dissipation. What an Iconic Bike!

I bought a Kaw 900 in November of 1974. She was brand new, and I loved her more than anything. Before I bought it I tested Harleys and Hondas, etc. The Kaw 900 was the only one for me!!!! Weeks after buying her I rode from Norfolk Virginia to Los Alamos New Mexico. And many many other rides. She never let me down, ever!!!!! She's gone now, (long story) but I still love her. ....thanks for sharing your Kaw 900 !!!!! 😊

"Once the spark plug is COLD, I return it to the engine". You do not miss a detail Mr Millyard ! The video details are excellent. I eagerly awaited this video. In my country, people do not like motorcycles. It is also a passing phase for some young men, so we do not have many bikes. But, in my early 20's a friend had a CBX and I did ride it a lot, as well as a Z1. I would have like you to convert my CB250 Nighthawk into a four. The BMW R1150RT..............I would give it to you for free ! Regards. Trinidad & Tobago.

I never get over the way he does things, without huge amounts of electronic equipment and the very latest tools. Just hands on, good solid engineering & skill! And he imparts very valuable knowledge, without being preachy! If there's any down side, it's that he needs a bigger barbecue! 😁
