3 жыл бұрын

In this video i carry out pre ride safety checks then take the viper out for a ride. I carry out these checks before i ride the bike on the road because of its size and power. There are also some riding clips from when i rode to the Isle of man TT in 2012 with my sons Sam, Stephen and friend Ian. It was the wettest TT of the 11 times iv'e ridden a motorcycle to the Isle of Man with 4 days of solid rain! the viper behaved its self most of the time but I dad have a couple of moments with a wayward back end ! The in pits footage at Elvington runway was shot by Dunk Rose (d-rphotography.weebly.com) We were also filming for an episode of Henry Coles ITV4 The Motorbike Show which was fun. The on bike video is from one run where I reached a 1/4 throttle gentle run of 189mph, but i shut off early going through the timing at 182mph. I ride my Viper V10 for fun using a fraction of its speed capability. Motorcycle News tester Bruce Dun rode the Viper at Bruntingthorpe proving ground in 2009 to a speed of 207.101mph using around half throttle. Since i completed the bike in August 2009, I have ridden it over 9000 miles on the road and over 200mph at Bruntingthorpe. I enjoy riding the ViperV10 to bike meets and shows during the summer.

Steven Lawrence, let's start at the beginning ... Thomas Newcomen ... JamesWatt ... George Stephenson and his son Robert Stephenson ... but let's not forget .... Frank Whittle! I always see Allen Millyard as most like Frank Whittle. Frank Whittle thought about, designed and built the first Jet Engine, he knew that it would work in principle but he spent years quietly problem solving, designing and building... the only difference between the two Engineering Greats of Frank Whittle and Allen Millyard is that Frank didn't have a Swiss Army Knife!!!!!!

Exept when its a turbo'd Busa with +500HP minimum... Plus it weighs half of this monstrosity and handles like a bike , not like a wet towel... Speed is good , but how many times will you be able to use it.

A BUSA would still smoke it in the quarter BAD!
@johncarl5505
@johncarl5505 2 жыл бұрын
@@eurocrusader1724 The Viper bike can reach 200 mph at half throttle with no fairing. It is decent enough at cornering, it is not designed for road racing. It is more controllable than a turbo Busa during acceleration due to the power given to you at low rpm. It makes the Busa useless since the only advantage a Busa has is cornering, no one uses a Busa for road racing anyway. Maybe at launch and top speed a turbo Busa would be better, but even experienced riders have a hard time controlling it.
