Just watched this great movie with my 18 yr old daughter and she enjoyed it as much as I did. I tell you, a true classic is just that, when it not only stands up over the years from when you first saw it (I was 24) - it actually exceeds classic status when a whole 'nother generation thanks you for sharing it with them!!! And It's scary when you still remember all of the words to the theme song as if it was yesterday!

Wow I remember this from when I was a kid and owning the original VHS tape, nowadays people might think this is cheesy but I am willing to bet that this movie takes a lot of people back to a better time in their life like myself. I don't care what people think, but this was a classic all ages film, thanks for the post.

Memories. Seeing Milo and Otis at the cinema when it was released. An aunt took my brother and I. We were surrounded by an audience of mostly grandparents and parents with their grandchildren and children. A few years later my Media Studies teacher mentioned Milo and Otis. He had seen a bit when at a barbecue. He liked how the Western version was done, with the narration by the late Dudley Moore.

My favorite movie of ALL TIME! I LOVED it as a little baby and I still watch it. I have 2 copies of it on DVD and I actually just finished watching it. I wanted to see what there was of it on youtube. I wish they still made movies like this.

This movie is the reason one of my cats (an orange tabby) was named Milo. This movie was a huge part of my childhood, I'll never forget it.

@rafflesia OH, YES. Dudley Moore's narration here is perfection. This movie...is such a masterpiece. I remember watching it on TV when I was very young, then later asking my mom for the title of "the movie with the cat floating in the box." I rented it several times, so my mom decided to just buy it for me...and I'm delighted to own it, along with many other magical childhood memories. :D Sometimes I catch myself singing, "We're gonna take a walk outside today, gonna see what we can find today!"

yeah i used to love this movie also, and then 1 day i found it in the 5 dollar bin at walmart. i've got a son now who i let watch with me the first time and within like 10 minutes he was like milo and otis are cool. the best was when milo was in the crate floating down the river and he was like "Daddy, where's Milo going?" its a great movie for the family :D
