I have watched from the 8:30 minute mark to the end of this video countless times. For me, a million dollar lesson. Fun to see Kevin throw the ball down to the ground after Blake's compliment. All I can imagine is Kevin thinking...damn, why didn't I work with Milo in the first place!

@@MiloLinesGolf a few days ago I watched a video of yours where you mention that a baseball batter does not take the bat inside. And so on the range yesterday I did like baseballers do and tapped an imaginary plate both sides with the head of my club and then I took it back like a batter over my shoulder. And bam just like that I had the club in the correct position on top. This in turn allowed me to come from the inside with my left arm above my right, while at the same time being able to clear my left side. I'd never felt that dynamic in my swing before. It feels natural and athletic. But I think the real key is the left elbow facing the target, which allows for the correct takeaway and for the correct wrist hinge. From there it's go time.

Going to watch this with interest as my 1st game after the lockdown( having hit 1000s of mid-irons in my garage) resulted in hitting pull draws on every iron/hybrid I hit over the 1st 6 holes! It is a shot Ive hardly ever hit b4!. My Driver on the other hand which I hadn't hit for 7 weeks (due to height of grg) was monster long and straight (for me 240 carry) and I could even hit a controlled draw! Golf doohhhh!

The concept of letting the club stay back and behind was very foreign to me until I started watching your videos. I have a seemingly incurable straight pull and I'm hoping this concept (along with your other concepts) will allow me to rotate without pulling the ball. Ideally I'd like my stock shot to be a baby fade. Time will tell. Great stuff as always Milo, you're my go-to guy on KZbin now amongst a crowded field of instructors.

This was fun to watch. The one comment I will leave is that you would make changes much faster and better (most of the time) if before trying to fix with drills or exaggerations or feels if you have them hit the shot in their mind.... most of the time they will also do it when they just imagine it, if that is there it shows that it is a less than volitional pattern and if we don’t address that first we will be working uphill and the changes may not be long-lasting. There are some easy strategies for removing the mental patterns instantly and then teaching the feels is much easier, because it’s not going on top of a faulty pattern. BTW I love the concept and your driver swing.... thing of beauty. Keep the videos coming! Thanks! Alan

Heard Milo say when they put in the rotation part the day before, it was really bad. That one cut me deep. I need catchers equipment and a motorcycle helmet if I make contact at all, making changes. Then I tee the ball up on the first tee, right back square one!!

With this pivot technique i played a lot of pull hook or pull shots. So I suppose (I have no coach !!) that I do not shallow the club as it would do. If i understand well I should train to play push draw or push shots (avoidance stick behind the ball).? bruno

I think I picked up in the video that you go to the top with no tension in your arms or wrists and you just turn to start the downswing. There is no feeling of swinging the arms. Am I correct? I have been working on the on line lesson you did for me. I will be back in March for another look.

Sam Snead hit a pull draw, which is a powerful shot, especially into the wind. I watch videos of Snead and it's obvious he came over the top a bit, and the ball flight would draw. A pull draw is a good shot, if you are strong enough to control it.
@MiloLinesGolf
@MiloLinesGolf 5 жыл бұрын
Adam Martin Sneads feet were closed to the target line but his shoulders were not and took the club and his hands back inside on the Backswing and his hands returned on a wonderful path and the shaft was extremely shallow and the club approached the ball from inside the target line not from the outside. He was famous for low spinning high draws.
@wx811
@wx811 5 жыл бұрын
@@MiloLinesGolf Well I'm no swing analyst, but I do note his shoulders were square compared to his closed feet as you said. I do the exact same thing with my path being inside, and returning back on the same arc, which is correct in terms of natural arc. An intentional pull draw is useful imo for playing into soft fairways and into stiff wind, as well as the intentional pull, which is another story altogether. I don't think a pull draw is useful practically for hitting greens, but with driving it is a good shot to have. A low draw is also good in these situations. As I said I'm no swing analyst, I'm self taught, and just hit the ball with a shut or open face and change my path to suit. The game's easy once you know what to do.

Great lesson interaction. Sweet to see these pros catch on to your instruction! It seems like this out to in swing path draw stems from swinging the club head instead swinging the club handle...and the only way to swing the club handle on the right path is to have a pivot driven swing, not an arm driven swing with the intention to deliver the club head into the ball. With a pivot driven swing, there is that wait or delay of the arms as the body rotates correctly, whereas thinking of swinging the club head into the ball often disrupts this with the arms moving too soon and out of sync with the body. The same seems true with the opening of the chest. With a pivot driven swing, I assume you can open the chest as much as possible because it is happening at the right time, after the hip turn and after the slight arm delay. But, with too much of an arm swing, trying to open the chest more would probably make the pull even worse. Is this close to what you are teaching here? Thanks!

The pull everyone is talking about is simple, at least in my mind. Look at 11:00 forward. It seems so simple why it is going left, you are swing with the arms instead of rotation. I figured this out in one minute. Think about it. The arms are outracing the body in a rotational swing? DUH! simple dimple

For the life of me I find this almost impossible to accomplish. After rewatching I wish he would move away from the ball just a tad align the ball on the toe of the club, but that’s just me. I know this might be tough but can you redo this type of lesson with shot tracer so we can see where the ball goes? Or is he hitting most bad shots with a low pull?

Just played the best 18 of my life driving accuracy wise hit all but one fairway (slight draw under a tree) best part was it went 30 yards longer than my usual stuff. Listen to Milo and the laws of physics. There is no contradiction there. Also, this student is tipping the club “too much,” which they are focused on to correct. All Milo is saying is the club is tipping out so much it is always coming into impact on the outside of the ball, which is not good. There is always a happy medium.
@mitchmarland
@mitchmarland Жыл бұрын
It's kind of both. A guy like Jon Rahm lays it off early. Laying it off tips the shaft. A guy like brooks koepka looks like he's laying it off and flattening it, but at some point it will tip and get on top of the plane. Milo is actually telling you to do the same thing as malaska, but Milos is earlier in the swing, and Malaskas is later.
