I played this originally around the time it came out. I could not get past the first level! I just picked it up again a few months ago - I have an Xbox that has all sorts of vintage games on it, so I decided to go back and see if it was really as tough as I remembered. I still couldn’t get past the first level! LoL In the end I looked for a hint online which shed some light on everything. The game doesn’t let you know all the ways you can interact with the environment, which is even more confusing considering that only a few blocks can be pushed or bonked with your noggin. I’m at the 3rd floor now in the turrets, so I have yet to rescue the princess, but I’m closer than I ever was before! 🙂

I just today found out the name of this game. I was talking to someone earlier in the week trying to explain that it was the most frustrating game but good at the same time. Lol, however was the hardest game i ever played too ave spent WAAY too much time restarting over and over.

Somehow beat this game after months and months of play when I was a kid/teen. But, yes, this game is the bane of pretty much everyone's existence... ;)

idk if that because of the no continue but there is one hidden, if you game over, at the menu hold down then start you will still have your last progression

I had many fond memories of this game, and then I found a used copy a couple years ago, which totally took care of the fond memories. Although the music's at least as good as I remember.

It just hit me this morning that I never had seen this game's ending and came looking for answers. Thank you so much! * A friend of mine had this game when we were kids but we never knew what to do, I remember spending time shooting around while looking for money and killing little monsters, also getting frustrated because we never found the way to climb higher in the castle and switched to something less or non cryptic at all. NES games like this one, Metal Gear, Metroid, Castlevania II, etc were pretty much impossible for 7-9 years old kids back then. I guess that's why Megaman received that much love and good feelings for Link increased while we were growing up with SNES' Zelda.

We'd rent this game from the corner store, and most of the time just screw around on the lowest level before giving up. Made it past the well a handful of times, and made it to the fake final boss once. But it was still such a fun and whimsical game
@maicolmallers29992 жыл бұрын
@@EunosXX Yeh somehow this game wasn't, let's say, hateable? It's actually fun but at point frustrating. Now I'll go check some other videos of yours.

I beat this game a few months ago and it took me 11 hours of leaving my NES on from 12 pm to almost midnight I agree it is sooo dificult and it is just crazy that the speedruns of this game are less that half an hour the TAS is like 5 minutes for any%!

Way to go on getting 6 Wonderfuls on the bonus games. I never get that many. I’m happy to get a few.
@DavidRomigJr3 жыл бұрын
For those that haven’t played much, at 50 or more notes, you get Wonderful which is $1 per 2 notes. The next tier down, Excellent gets you $1 per 4 notes. If you get a lot of money from the bonus games, then you don’t have to farm for money later.

Amazing how much of a toss up NES games are! I musta played this a LOT because I beat it as a kid, same with Castlevania II: Simon's Quest (don't ask me how I beat that one-I dunno).
