something I've seen online when researching a transmission cooler for my 4runner is to place the temp sensor on the return line from the cooler so you know the temp of fluid entering the pump and valve body circuits.

Are you gonna install a jakes d3 transbrake ? It would probably improve quarter mile times by alot by using trans brake. How big of a difference did the high stall converter make? Have a om648 to 4l80e 4x4 but its going on my jeep xj and I need a torque converter. Sick build. 🔥
@Elisworkshop Жыл бұрын
I am not, I think it makes getting into reverse a bit odd or something like that. I would like to try it though! The big stall takes a lot of lag away letting the engine get up to 3k rpm quickly. Nice! You probably can run lower stall being direct injection with more torque.

Fantastic work, Eli! Nicely done! 😃 You know, I love electronics as well, but not in cars. The electrics they're making are too much automated and so on... A car like that is never going to be badass! Heck, even gyros in rc cars ruin it. 😬 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

You got a ton of talent!! Very few people on the planet have such a highly intelligent well rounded set of skills! My one personal gripe is I wish that diesel was common rail injected, becauses you could light that turbo a little faster and have even more fun! Nonetheless well done sir that truck rips!! What size turbo does it have?
@Elisworkshop Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I appreciate that, they do have the om613 or 648 that are common rail. The turbo is a precision 62/66 .63ar

The Taco truck pulls like a freight train nice 👍🏻 I don’t know what tires you’re using but you need some stickier meats in the rear like either Nitto’s or Michelin’s or consider dot legal drag radials Mickey Thompson’s
@jeepkid4242Ай бұрын
You should make it 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive for more traction you might be able to use 2ed or 3rd gen Escalade awd cuz the ones that where all wheel drive came with the 4l80e

hey, when you mated the 4L80 to the engine, the torque converter is somewhat exposed to the elements without that lower bell housing .. did you fabricate your own or adapt the original? or just leave it exposed? thanks!

Hey! I left I exposed, I have the factory cover but I don't drive it in the rain and it's stayed clean.
