This is what kids need to be doing! This young man is learning video production, carpentry, craftsmanship and musicianship in doing this one project! This boy is developing skills with real value, while others his age might only know achievement through video games. Not to take any credit away from you, Eli, but be thankful for your parents everyday because not all kids are so blessed to have such guidance.

Hey keep up the good work! Here are some tips for 2.0 if you would like to try them. Add cork to the bottom of the pad so you can prevent the pad from slipping while playing, being a drummer my self you hate when the pad slips, also work on your rudiments! Have fun and keep drumming!

It's really awesome to see a kid so young make such a great thing and be happy about it, excellent video! But just a little side note, make sure you use another material other than cork. Cork tends to dry up and decay over time so the quality of the tone and rebound will be pretty bad. Only complaint to an otherwise awesome video!
@Elisworkshop7 жыл бұрын
Thank you Christopher H! The cork has actually has been holding up pretty good, but i do know what you mean. Next time i might use so sort of rubber. But thank you for the idea and awesome comment!

That's a pretty cool idea .I would have glued the cork onto the plywood 1st while they were both square and then put the square piece on the jig that way both pieces get cut at the same time and then you get a perfect circle.
