MILTIADIS TENTOGLOU WINS BACK-TO-BACK LONG JUMP GOLDS, JOINS CARL LEWIS | PRESS CONFERENCE

Miltiadis Tentoglou became only the second man in history to successfully defend his Olympic title in the long jump, joining Carl Lewis who did so on three occassions. Jamaica's Wayne Pinnock won silver and 19-year-old Mattia Furlani won bronze for Italy.

There are many black screens to this video especially when Tentoglou talks about very important changes expected to happen on the race and the way these athletes will compete in the future to this specific sport. Greeks often speak their mind and not afraid of openly criticizing big organisations even when receiving awards. However big organisations are often too insecure to take any form of critiscim that could potentially taint their image and resort to censorship. Ironically it actually reflects much worse on these organisations to censor unreasonably. Is there no freedom of speech? Or was Militadis revealing secret information that went against his NDA? Two Olympic titles is an important statistic, because it shows that, apart from talent, this athlete has the mental strength, and attitude for the big events, and will do whatever it takes to win. I have no doubt that, if another athlete jumped e.g. 8,50m, Tentoglou would jump 8,55m and still take the gold.
