The man had an answer for damn near everything. He must have been constantly thinking, and constantly trying to understand other peoples' views.

That's really the name of the game, isn't it. Understanding other peoples' views.

LD9user I wouldn't say it's the name of the game, but rather a mode of logic on a level that is admirable.

Zaghir lol, well that's is still one hell of a progress, now hear what ayn rand says, what milo says, and what hitchens says, and we will make the progress needed to focus on the real problems and not on puniy stuff like what stupid desert god your great grand mother\ father believed in. happy new year!

Zaghir some more then others, the gods them self's are usually not the problem, their messengers are. Jesus was kinda cool, but he got so miss interpreted by now, that even his religious direction got all crappy.

I love his common sense. Goes to show that you have a hard time arguing against common sense when it's pointed out with common sense.

... Except demand for healthcare is inelastic, therefore everyone's going to need it, so if some people do not have health insurance everyone is going to wind up paying for their healthcare anyway.
@mariokarter138 жыл бұрын
Let's say you have guy who's relatively healthy throughout his whole life only going in for the occasional checkup, then you have another guy who's chronically ill with a non-life threatening condition that needs expensive treatments regularly. Are you seriously telling me they have the exact same demand for health care?
@lockelamora80997 жыл бұрын
I'm saying that the overall demand within the system does not change based on the choice of the consumer. I.e. if market prices go up overall, it is not in the ability of the consumer to buy less healthcare. They can switch to a different insurer, but this artificially inflates the price equilibrium, because if total market demand does not fluctuate in the usual manner of the free market, both the price and the quality of care are stuck in an equilibrium of highest possible competitive price and lowest possible competitive price.

@@lockelamora8099 If the cost of healthcare surpasses the cost of medical bills and the value of knowing you’re covered, then people will stop buying healthcare and its price will stop inflating.
