Update: I’m now a proud season ticket holder to the Milwaukee Admirals! I’ll be in section 230 so I’m nice and close to the “crazy fan section” and can join in their chants! No worries, I only got a 1/2 season plan so I’ll have plenty of time to go visit other hockey arenas and do more stadium reviews! Go Ads!

I was a1/2 season ticket holders for 5 years starting back when they played in the bmo Harris Bradley center, and it continued into when they moved to the uw Panther arena. I was in the crazy fan section.

@@SACSportsAdventures no, the reason why I stopped going to the games is because getting picked up after the game can be difficult especially if the bucks and admirals play on the same night.

@@12369ja yeah, that’s fair. That’s why I always park far away and walk. There’s not a whole lot of parking around there and what they have is crazy expensive. I don’t think I’ve been to a game when the Bucks were also playing. That would be too chaotic.

@@SACSportsAdventures I can’t drive so I would always have to rely on my mom picking me up after the game or even during the game if she worked they next day, so now I watch the games online at home, if I could drive I would probably still be going to the games. Hopefully they ads do good this year and win the colder cup again. The only time they won it was before I started watching hockey.

We do our best to make our way from the La Crosse area, at least once a month to catch a game. Always a good time. We like to jump around and check out different sections, but probably frequent 111 the most.

The slingshot is called the Human Hockey Puck, hands down the coolest in game entertainment I’ve seen. Ads game and Milwaukee in general is a blast

I agree! Its a fantastic promo. I was at the game this past weekend and two of the contestants flew down the ice the fastest I’ve ever seen on the slingshot! It was fantastic! Ads games are always a great time. I’m hoping to catch some more before the season ends and maybe even a playoff game or two!

I like trying to show the full experience that someone would get at a game so showing all the concourses and seating options is a really big part of the game day experience to me. Went to my first two Ads games this month during the playoffs. Living in Milwaukee this summer for an internship. Enjoyed the arena. Food has a neat variety of offerings. Only complaint was that the main bar in the lower level lacked in variety of chasers and they poured me the tiniest little shot when I ordered vodka. One thing I’d note is that you made the upper deck sound farther away than it is in reality. Yes it’s further back than a modern overhanging upper deck would be, BUT due to the lack of a club or suite level in between the upper and lower seats, it’s not as high up height-wise as many modern arenas have the last row. I like the arena as it is. I would not mind seeing it renovated in a manner similar to Northwestern’s Welsh-Ryan Arena (a manner that keeps its tight intimate sight-lines), but I also like it as is. Some vintage charm to its architecture inside and out. I’m kinda surprised though that the Wisconsin Center District hasn’t built a connection between it (and the theater) and the Baird Center convention center. I’d imagine if they had a skywalk connecting Baird Center, and a new atrium between the theater and arena it’d be a great improvement by allowing large conventions to use the theater and arena.

Ah, my home away from home - for both the Ads and Wave. The move to Panther Arena has been good. I find it odd that only one of the three pro winter sports teams plays at Fiserv Forum, but this is much better for generating revenue. Panther Arena, despite its age, feels fairly modern, except for the lack of suites and the small concourse. I don't know what else the Ads can possibly do to pack the place a bit more. For a northern city, it's surprising that we're just not a hockey market like one would think. Anyway, great review!

I agree with you 100%. It would be super cool to see the Ads move to the Forum but I’m sure the rent would cost them so much and they don’t get the draw to fill out the lower bowl that well. Panther Arena gets the job done and holds a lot of really cool history. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on it!

@@SACSportsAdventures Even at the Bradley Center (a place the Admirals owners at the time built), the Bucks took a lot of the revenue earned at Ads games. It would be even worse at Fiserv Forum.

Originally, Fiserv Forum was not going to be built for hockey. However, they changed their minds due to the University of Wisconsin wanting to continue to have the ability to host the NCAA Frozen Four event in Milwaukee, a big revenue generator that would not be wise to give up. Also, the reason they are not a hockey market is because of the Chicago Blackhawks. They pretty much control it, have made sure the NHL never adds a team there and Wisconsinites knowing that have no real hockey interest outside of the University of Wisconsin.

@@SACSportsAdventures The Admirals would also be sharing the Forum with not only the Bucks, but the UNiversity of Marquette as well. WIth UWP arena, they only have to share with UW Milwaukee, which really only has basketball for it.

The logo isn't a pirate, it's a Naval officer (and I know that some pirates were once naval officers, blah, blah, blah) and the "original" logo was a hockey player in motion.

Ah. I always thought it was a skeleton pirate because of the hat but Naval officer makes sense. I have that hockey player in motion logo at the beginning when talking about the teams history and I didn’t really consider that as a brand and think of the skating admiral guy as the first true brand. I went to the game last Wednesday. Playoff hockey against the Wolves (Go Wolves!). It was a great time. I sat front row for $35. Next to me was a nice family of Wolves fans and on the other side was a group college friends drinking and cheering. Both people were really nice and got heavily involved with the game. I got this loaded baked potato with three different meats. I recommend this a lot.

I live in Wisconsin so I go to each admirals game one or two times a month. And the people chanting in the bottom corners are the season ticket holders, and the admirals call them “The Ticklers”

I think it would be definitely worth checking out! They have a really fun fan based and entertaining promos during the game. The Ads have also been playing some pretty decent hockey of late and ticket prices aren’t too bad.

It really was a great game! Probably the best Ads game I went to since it had great pace and the teams were very evenly matched. Whenever the Monsters scored I was the only person in the entire arena standing and clapping which was kind of awkward. Haha!

I like the arena except for the overpriced food and the smallish seats, especially if a bigger size person is next to you. I usually have to sit at the edge of my seat. Plus there isn't much leg room. I still enjoy seeing the admirals games, though.

The atmosphere is a lot of fun and pretty rowdy at times. I suspect the type of play will change some this year because they’ve got a lot of new faces.
