If only that accident at Miller Park hadn't happened.

The County Stadium was not imploded. They tore it down piece by piece.

I wish that stadium was never demolished.

Renovating County Stadium would have cost half of what it cost to build Miller Park. That's adding a second tier of bleachers in Right and Left, removing the batters eye and putting a new scoreboard and bullpens in it's place, new bathrooms throughout, new clubhouses, updating the press box, putting three luxury boxes in the mezzanine area and adding an atrium to the front of the stadium featuring field views, a restaurant, Brewers offices and a Brewers and Braves Hall of Honor..... It could could have been done in six to eight years..... Selig wanted nothing to do with renovating County Stadium and scared the fans into supporting a new stadium by threatening to move the team to Charlotte. He was never going do move the team, just used it as a scare tactic.

You still wouldn't have as good of a view as you have at Miller Park. County Stadium was tired. It was time to rebuild.
@DoubleJ12034 жыл бұрын
@@rocsaltjohn I'd take the obstructed views of County Stadium over anything Miller Park offers any day of the week. Maybe I'm biased because County Stadium was my favorite place in the world. County Stadium was my Graceland. It was my Fenway, it was my Wrigley. Tired she may have been, but she mustered enough strength to leave a lasting impact on a young baseball fan from Western Wisconsin.
