This is an extremely flawed team. Those flaws are being masked by our 2 top 75 players of all-time. When Jrue left, so did the rest of our perimeter D. We just can't defend beyond the paint anymore. Brook is 35 years old and can't rebound anymore. Our bench is also horrendous. The issues are compiling and none of them seem to have immediate solutions

Ultimately I don’t care too much what happened in the final minute/OT because we know that late game situations are not a problem for this team. What is a problem is why we’re down 12 in the 4th to a very bad team without their two best players. There’s just zero excuse for this. I started counting in the second half and at least 2 times a possession someone would over pursue on a close out which lead to either a wide open mid range, or it would pull brook/giannis out from the paint and they would be one pass away from a dunk or an open 3. If I’m another coach scouting us I’m telling the team “pump fake every time and their defense will fall apart”

Our offense was bad tonight, our defense HORRIBLE and the effort was also lacking. How do we go from the best rebounding team for years to giving up so many offensive rebounds and second chance points. The bulls had multiple possessions where they got two offensive boards in a row. And why is it so hard for Giannis to let Dame run the offense. I feel like dame was in a great offensive rhythm in the first half. Then in the third quarter we had like four possessions back to back where Giannis would bring the ball up the court and have dame not even touch it once. Having Lillard just stand in a corner is NOT how you should use him!! Also that last play was just stupid… Why not foul?? Instead we get Brook Lopez the worst perimeter defender in the league out there and he is too damn slow to even contest the shot in time even though everybody knew they were trying to get a three up🤦🏽‍♂️

Giannis let's Dame run the offense pretty often. What are you talking about? Dame had 13 assists. It's okay if Giannis brings up the ball sometimes. It just has to be at the right times. The issue is how they play off of each other a lot of the time. Why is Dame in the corner when Giannis brings up the ball instead of running an inverted pick n roll, or at least being encouraged to move off the ball? Why are Dame and Giannis pick and rolls so rare? Why does Giannis just clear out a lot of the time and just stands off in the corner or is positioned too deep in the paint while being sealed off by his defender rather than draw attention away from Dame when it's late into the 4th quarter? It's not like that has always led to offensive rebounds. Etc. That's what we have to figure out.

But it felt like after being frustrated because he had a very bad first half Giannis completely iced dame out the offense in the 3rd and took him out of the flow of the game. There should never be multiple possessions in a row where dame doesn’t even touch the ball once!!! Yes Giannis had a dominant 3rd quarter but it was also the quarter which ultimately cost us the game after giving up our lead. And the horrible start of the 4th of course. Griffin is a bad coach man the vibes are not there. Dame tbh is the best option at half court offense but there never really is an effort to set hard screens and play off him. They refuse to run a steady diet of dame giannis pnr. I get the fouls but why did Giannis disappear offensively in the 1st half? On 4th qtr Giannis offense, I liked it. He got rid of the ball well and got some assists and not so many TOs. There are definitely some underlying issues with the roster and *especially* with the coaching. Gotta just shake your head when you trade your championship coach and best perimeter defender and end up with a clueless coach & no perimeter defense to obtain offense that….. can’t produce without defense. Trades have to happen. We cannot have Beasley out there with dame. wtf even is that? It’s been made extremely obvious that it’s in no way sustainable. All this switching isn’t working for an old team. DUH!!! Griffin can’t go on like this. I don’t wanna sound catastrophic, but we HAVE TO HAVE another coach who has an actual knack for the game on that staff helping this team. This loss was a wake up call that says the Bucks just aren't that good right now. Yes, I understand all the clichés, they need time to gel, not worried about the regular season, wait until all star break, yadda yadda. All the signs and symptoms of this team are on display right in front of our eyes. When signs and symptoms aren't treated, the condition gets worse. That chest pain that they kept putting off as nothing ended up being a heart attack because they haven't treated: rebounds, perimeter defense, offensive continuity, basketball IQ, and other things as well.
