the battery is lose to reduce vibrations going to the battery. There is a black bracket that is separated from the body of the tool.

The tool is design with the battery fitting loose so the vibration of the tool operating won’t ruin the area of where the battery is attached. (That Includes terminal and wiring also)

The battery wobble is intended. It’s actually to save the battery from all the impacts the wrench makes. It’s called a battery isolater which is what that black bracket is separating the battery from the tool. Allows it to reduce shock and increase your battery life while using that tool specifically.

Nice. The battery is designed to be lose so it last longer. Im waiting for the new one with a longer shaft but I got to see the pro and the cons on the length. Over the road it will pay for it self with one tire or two but I don't care im buying one of this impacts.

When the battery overheats all the bars flash they redesigned the battery box because previous models were to solid and wobbled loose and the battery lost connection so the battery should be able to flop around it's almost like rubberized

@TRUCKINGTIPSDIY
@TRUCKINGTIPSDIY 4 жыл бұрын
hello, i think for that purpose the small one should work just fine, its lighter, just make sure all lugnuts are torque to 450 to 550,(some tire guys over torque the lug nuts) if they're over torque you might not be able to remove them. if you get the 2868 it will remove them, hope i make sense
4 жыл бұрын
The High torque could do it for sure, but this is built more for it. Then agian the high torque costs less and has a better warranty, but if you are not giving the threads some antiseize or something and they're getting rusted up ect not sure if it will take it off. For sure the tool for it job but so much more money.

Your truck has an air tank. Put a coupler on it and you can use cheaper air. The $160 1 inch from Harbor Freight would do the trick. A good 1/2" gun will do shocks and be easier to handle. I used my own truck's air to do suspension work on it, including wheel removal.

They say you can remove 250 on 1 battery. It’s 2000 pounds of torque. I wonder how it compares to the ingersoll IRTW9491 it has 3000 pounds of torque. I have nothing bad to say about Milwaukee. I will put up my Milwaukee to any Snap-on toll I have. The reason I’m looking at the ingersoll is I live in Massachusetts. The winter weather here is a bitch and taking off lug nuts from semi trucks blows. I have the 1/2 3/8 1/4 and drill from Milwaukee. It’s cheaper better stronger and a 5 year warranty compared to Snap-on 1 year. I have 9 batteries. I’m only looking at the ingersoll because it’s 3000 pounds of torque.
