I have the same problem with one, I’ve done a complete overhaul and the gears are fine, they’re intact they didn’t break, the motor however was super dirty.

I bought a 3/8 stubby online and they sent me a 1/2 so I'm I bought some parts and I'm converting it. Thanks for the video man

Easy way to remember. Like the Sun is in the center of the solar system, the sun gear is in the center and the planet gears go around the sun inside the outer ring gear.

How old was the tool. Do you feel you got good use out of it before it broke. I had to order parts for my m18 drill once and found the part was also reasonable priced. I was abusing the heck out of it by drilling too big of holes and not letting it cool down, so I have been happy with the tool. were you putting the beans to the tool when it broke?

I would guess I had if for 2 years. But it sees daily use. Its been dropped from over 10' more than once and we frequently use large sockets up to 1 1/8" on it(which is when it broke). Really it gets treated like its a mid torque 1/2 impact because it just has so muh power. This tool definitely gets used frequently in ways it probably shouldn't.

You will probably end up with stripped gears again. Forget what dude said about cleaning up your plastic housing. Where you messed up is when you didnt clean out the gear case. The part where you installed your Impacting Assembly is full of metal flakes from all the stripped gears from your last Impacting Assembly. Where do you think those metal flakes went. They didn't. Their still in your Gearcase slowing eating up your new gears. Let me know if you have any questions. I'm a certified repair tech for warranty repairs on many powertool brands.

Definitely have 5 yr warranty. I'm a warranty repair tech for many main brand power tools. It's the only one with 5 years. Best bargain for sure.
