You should try the 801 becuase it's an impact like the surge but has all the things that make dewalts 12v amazing. Grip and weight is second to none. Also love they have quick release on hex.

I know I’m comparing apples to oranges but that’s the point. Knowing what tool to use in certain situations is good knowledge. Knowing how far you can push lighter tools means maybe you don’t pack everything you own for a task.

Good test I have M12 Gen 2 for small things my other drills DeWalt 996 and DeWalt 887 . May get that dewalt screw 👍

How is the dewalt screwdriver any different than a drill? Like the 12v xtreme drill.. Both have clutches, yet the drill can do more than the screwdriver. Trying to understand better so I can purchase one over the other.. Thanks

Bomb X Reviews if you don’t have either I’d probably buy a drill but it depends on your application. The screwdriver does not have a very high rpm and there’s no gear selector switch on it which is one of things I like about it but if you need to spin a bit faster it’s just not gonna happen and if you don’t have a drill at all I’d say probably buy a drill first just because they’re more versatile. but the screwdriver is smaller more compact lighter weight simpler and has better lights and is easier to change the beds because it’s just a quarter inch collar

Bomb X Reviews also though a lot of people are just buying an impact driver which puts screws and stuff and super easily but can also drill holes really easily they’re just a little louder. That’s why I have all of them so that I don’t have to decide LOL

Kenneth Kuhlman I appreciate your reply. I do have a drill. I have the Makita 18v subcompact and also the dewalt dcd996.. I don’t need any tools honestly but I like adding to my collection lol.. I don’t have anything like this screwdriver at all, but didn’t know how much like a drill it was.. if it’s a bit different I guess it would make sense to get the screwdriver over the drill

Bomb X Reviews I really like the Dewalt Screwdriver. It’s so light and balanced. The light is awesome. I have all the Milwaukee stuff and I find the Dewalt screwdriver worth having.

It's just a really good electric screw drive. I would recommend getting the extreme 801 impact driver instead. Alot more versatile and powerful. Screwdriver and impact similar but not the same.

gr8 hav both kept xtreem sold surge to buddy - did not like battery handle- on hvy side - sounds louder thn my 18v surge
