Thanks man, its getting quite common for the boards to fail on these things. Moreso with the knockoff batteries. I had four out of four fail in a very short time, and addmitedly they were NZ$40 each and you get what you pay for. Its possible they have the same boards in them that you are replacing your broken one with. Are they lasting long for you? It would be great to learn how to repair the original Milwaukee boards. That would also make a great video.

The boards are doing well so far repairing boards is further than I have gone in repairing these so far
@waynoswaynosАй бұрын
@@doctorlefthandthread thanks Doc. With the cheap boards I can seen charred components, But with the Milwaukee boards, no signs on charred bits. Also, they are coated with a waterproofing varnish that needs to be removed before any work can be done. It should be easy enough to compare each component from a good board against the bad with a multimeter. But as you know, its super hard to get motivated to scrape the coating from a board that has nothing wrong with it and risk destroying that too. Probably faster to solder in a knock off board.

Great demonstration for the batteries fix as always, unfortunately I have the same problem with my 12.ah battery it flashes like this, ~& I charged the battery manually up to 4.07V in each pack inside but it still flashes and refuse to work, did you face same problem or not?
@doctorlefthandthread Жыл бұрын
When that happens I replace the board but I haven't been able to source boards for the larger batteries yet 8ah and 12ah
@TikkaHorse Жыл бұрын
I've had this happen often, and so for (other than one with 3 dead cells) I've been able to solve the issue by unplugging the charger with the battery on it, wait until the light stops flashing (sometimes take a few moments), then plugging the charger back in. Leave the battery on the charger the whole time, make sure it's fully seated, and you have to wait for the light to turn off after unplugging with the battery fully seated. I found this out by chance, and with all but one Christmas light display, this has solved the failure to start charging problem.

Have you tried it on the charger? Are there broken connections? What voltage is coming out of the top?
@maddawglodbrock138010 ай бұрын
It’s. Not recognised by the charger and doesn’t flash the charger what so ever. Think it could be a faulty pcb as ther is no continuity between the second from left terminal and second from right

Not always true there is a reason those cells dropped so low it could be the health of the cells struggling to hold the charge hence why they discharged lower than the others meaning yes its still the batteries as I've had packs I've used slow charger on the build them back and they still discharge faster than the other cells and you get a similar issue every time
