Thanks, Nick! As always, (or at least often) you’ve once again answered questions I never even knew I had. And because they’re red and pretty, I feel like I need every freaking one of them. (All the flavors of grindage.) Dang it! Stop showing all the cool toys. Or, don’t…since I kind of think that’s the point, isn’t it?

Thank James! The questions we attempt to answer in most of our recent come directly from customers at counter or over phone. Way easier to answer them with videos so hopefully we can help people with same questions moving forward. Definitely got more cool tools coming very soon.

@@OhioPowerTool That makes a ton of sense. It offers a quick reference guide to help customers differentiate and make a more informed purchasing decision. To quote Lord Business, “Diabolical.” Or is it ingenious? Let’s just settle on Diabolically ingenious.

My M18 grinder overheats extremely quickly. Cant even sharpen a single mower blade. It takes 30+ minutes before it will work again. Wondering if I got a defective one because Milwaukee tools are usually pretty good.
@OhioPowerTool
@OhioPowerTool Жыл бұрын
Hey Jonathan! It definitely sounds like you might have a defective model; how long ago did you purchase it? If it's within five years, you should be able to get a replacement unit from Milwaukee through their warranty service!

Can you elaborate on how Milwaukee says "Tool-Free Accessory Change Integrated FIXTEC Technology". I'm assuming that means it will come with a Fixtec Tool Free Flange Nut, but I do not see it on any unboxing I have watched. Just trying to find out if I would need to purchase it separately
@OhioPowerTool
@OhioPowerTool Жыл бұрын
Hey Noah! From what I've been able to find, it doesn't look like a flange nut is included, just that these are compatible with them. I apologise for the inconvenience!

Home Depot sells one for $80 and one for $260 and they both say they do 9000rpm. The $80 seems like a no brainier but idk
@OhioPowerTool
@OhioPowerTool Жыл бұрын
There may be other factors to take into account that make that price differential so great; could it be that the less expensive one takes smaller or different sized grinding wheels or pads? Would it be on a different battery platform to the one you're currently using? Take a good look through the specs on each to make sure you're truly getting a good deal; that $260 might be worth the cost!

So if I want a good grinder which model whould I get
@OhioPowerTool
@OhioPowerTool Жыл бұрын
An excellent question, and unfortunately one that's a bit too difficult to answer precisely. If you're looking for just a generic "good" grinder for general everyday use as an at-home DIYer, we'd go with maybe an entry level Milwaukee grinder, depending on your intended applications. If you're looking to go pro or trying to replace something you currently use as a daily driver, you may want to look into the more nuanced Milwaukee units; they're a bit more involved than the entry level units for a more refined approach to grinding applications. Of course, personal preference always plays a part in choice, and you may not be a big Milwaukee guy; we know some people that swear by their generic big box grinders and say they don't need anything fancy, though you may find some features that you truly enjoy on a Milwaukee grinder that you can't find on, say, a Black & Decker. Of course, Milwaukee is not the only grinder manufacturer on the market, and there are an incredible amount of choices available to you; choosing the one for you may truly come down to personal trial and error, or collecting as much review data as possible before making an informed decision on your purchase. Pro/con lists are a huge help!
