This led is awsome...got it 2 days ago ... I combine it with the Milwaukee head light. A perfect combination.

The combo with the Milwaukee head light is perfect becouse they use the same battery....plus... the head light light quality is almost addictive. I can`t work in the dark months without. And as a bonus.. You can use one of them as charger if you don`t need both at the same time.

Awesome, I have the original Rover, and I just ordered this one today. I just wish they covered the magnet with something to keep it from gouging painted metal surfaces. The rubber feet will do nothing if the metal surface isn't large and planar.

I covered the magnets with painters tape. So far it helps but depending on the amount of use you’ll probably need to replace the tape once in a while.

Yeah, you can buy an actual wall plug charge cable too and come on, for 70 bucks put the cord in the box. And the size. For 29 bucks u can buy a 1500 lumin rechargeable camp lantern. I should have known it was tiny when they said, put it in the pocket. Too small for that price. I'm in construction and love most of Milwaukee s tools,, but that's too small for 70 bucks. Thanks for the review though. 😊

I mention it takes 2 hours at 7:11 in the video. Uses the micro USB port I show at the start of the video, and you can't use the light while it's charging.

No, you have to cycle through all modes every time unfortunately.

I ordered this light as PN 2114-21 but received 2114-20. What’s the difference?

The -21 means it comes with one battery. The bare tool itself is -20. Milwaukee power tools all have an XXXX-2X designation, where the first four digits are the tool designator, the -2 is in everything for some reason, and the last digit is the number of batteries that come with it. Sometimes you'll see a "CP" or a "HD" at the end of everything, and that specifies if compact or high demand batteries are included.

I wasn't counting LEDs, I was using the lumen specification for each light. This one with 550 lumens is 23.5% brighter than the original USB rover which had 445 lumens. I also said "about 20%" in the video, since (550-445)/445 is a little hard to do accurately as mental math on the fly.

I love your videos and i like milwaukee. But using standard, common battery and purposefully making it not compatible it's one step too far IMO. Just because of that i will be never interested in anything of this 3,7V platform.

I hear you about the batteries - I think $10-15 would be a much more reasonable price point than the $20 Milwaukee went with for the spares. If you wanted to buy an extra battery and charger it's $40, which at that point you may as well just buy another light at $60 instead. I can see them wanting to control the batteries that go into the lights and tools from a warranty perspective though. Another reason for a proprietary battery may be that they've built undervoltage protection into the batteries rather than the lights, but I'm not sure.

They've effectively cut the price since this debuted by offering an extra free battery sale (and sometimes a separate charger too) pretty regularly. If you're in the market for one, be sure to find one with that deal!
