In this rare 1966 interview with Milwaukee AM radio jock Bob Barry, Tony Hicks explains the band's issues with US Immigrations, forcing a canceling of their show in Milwaukee at Devines Million Dollar Ballroom, now called the The Rave/Eagles Club. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hHm9q5qAi5iCgcU Tony Hicks, you are always welcome back anytime to play that missed show!

At the 1:35 mark, love that kettle drum sound. This song always had a reggae flavor to it. The Hollies took their name from Buddy Holly.

There was a special single of this song and the flip was the Tremeloes Silence Is Golden. It had a pic sleeve with both bands and said, "There is room at the top for both".

How could they replace Clarke and Nash? It'd be impossible, but they are still a great band.
@patricio94692 жыл бұрын
Clarke ya no puede cantar y Nash hace rato que se fue del grupo y por decisión propia.

They are still using Nashes voice at the beginning of the song. The Hollies or just a tribute band with Elliott and Hicks? You make up your mind up.

@rob l absolutely. The current group is fine. Obviously all groups change over time, but The Hollies had such a distinctive sound with Nash and Sylvester with Allan Clarke, using Nash as a sing over at the start of Carrie Ann is a bit of a cop out
