I was definitely thinking that the top teeth could stand to be lower while you were sculpting them, but then I remembered that a mimic is a shapeshifter, so it can just put them where it needs to be when it comes to chomping time. And anyway, the end result is amazing! Great job, as usual!

I want to decorate a box with moving parts like spinners and spiders so it looks wildly complicated but it just opens right up. Then I will use it as a fidget toy.

I’ve been doing mimic chests for about 3 years. Although I use nail polish and glass cabochons for the eyes. I get my chests from dollar tree and hobby lobby and I’ve done 4 chests so far all different sizes.

This is super cool. I have no idea what a mimic box is (still don’t) but I love watching your process working with clay! And the paint job is always stunning.

It's a monster from Dungeons & Dragons. They're omnivorous and typically look like small boxes or barrels, but can look like anything. Plants, demonic softball\crab hybrids, dorky Sweeds.

That was so cool!!! I didn't know what a mimic was so was really invested to see how it turned out!!! I've been dealing with the opposite end of the weather spectrum!!! In the -37°C with windchill in the -40°C for a week. Your eyelashes get frost on them so when you get inside the frost melts and it feels like you've been crying. 🥶💨🥶 Windchill is no joke!!! Take care and have fun!!! 😷😎😷

I like it!! It was interesting to watch you put the entire thing together. The eyes don't look like they are just round. The pupil looks like it is indented into the rest of the eye. I love the end result.

I play video games where mimics are hard monsters that look like treasure chests until you open them then they convert to this evil monster. Good job .Agreed teeth need to be lower by chest rim or tongue.

JUST an FYI fun fact: If you lived in the US, seeing your name in writing, depending on your surname, lots of Americans would assume that you're Black American. That name is very common among Black Americans today, in the last 40 years or so (not continental Africans), but foundational Africans (descended from US slaves). Some names can keep you from getting even a job interview, but that is gradually changing as we become more skilled and move around.

Wow, this is absolutely amazing! I love the creepy teeth! And I am impressed that the Mont Marte clay is passable. I see it in the cheap shops and was going to get some and now that I see you working with it, I might give it a go when I decide to get brave and sculpt something. 😍

Passable for flat surfaces for sure! I would not make a too complicated sculpture with it. If it gets too sticky you can always apply some corn starch
