Esteemed Professor, I tried looking in the two attached sources for a quotable section on your claim that a normed chi-squared value of below three is measure of good fit, however I could not find any. Dear Prof. Vahid. Thanks for your video ! Very informative guide to MIMIC. I have a question, if my data set has a poor model fit ( with values of CFI/TLI/NFI ~ 0.7-0.8) , even after Modification indices are adjusted. is that still meaningful for me to perform any of the MIMIC? Thank you !

It seems the model does not fit the data. You can, however, test your MIMIC model; the fit might improve. If not, then the model is 'wrong' and another model with a different configuration should be tested.

Yes, it will be most suitable for questionnaires. The test i used also has a sort of polytomous (rating) scale, which assimilates it with questionnaires.
