I shall never forget being in attendance at Gospel Fest 1992. What an amazing year! I feel truly honored to have witnessed this final live offering of the Maestro and his Company. How Awesome!❤️😍

God morning, I was there at this concert, it was the first time I saw Thomas Whitfield in person, before he left this plane of existence. Marvelous he was and the true Maestro.

I was there for this. We (Soul Children of Chicago) sung right before they did. He died the following week. We were crushed 💔 But they gave an excellent performance ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I was in the audience. You all sang He Died For Me. I think the Rutledge Sisters were there. I had no idea who Thomas Whitfield was. I left after you all sang. As an adult, I now see how great Thomas Whitfield is

...and I remember my brother (an organist) calling me to tell me--in tears--about his passing. That's the music that would be blaring from his van during the week.

OMG! I had this on VHS. They used to show the Chicago gospel fest on an auxiliary cable channel back then. I had this & John P Kee recorded. I wore those tapes out! I remember this like it was yesterday, thanks for posting.

I always fast track to Oh Hallelujah, Just A Look, and Oh, How I Love Jesus. I love how his band slipped in a little Bobby Brown at the end of Oh, How I Love Jesus as the choir is transitioning off the stage. I really wish I could’ve seen him live! Rest in Power, Maestro!
