There were 6 quarterbacks drafted in the 1st round of the 2024 draft. If you did a blind poll asking each of those quarterbacks what team would they want to draft them I think most would want to go to the vikings. I'm a Michigan fan so of course I love JJ Mccarthy and I was hoping that he would be drafted by the vikings. There is no pressure on him to start day 1. The coaching staff has given him goals and until he reaches those goals he will be on the sidelines. The vikings are building a very competitive team both offensively and defensively. They are going to be a very good team for the next 4 years

Sam Howell & JJ McCarthy both have the same tell in their throwing delivery. It cost Howell a league high 21 INTs last season as DBs figured it out & easily jumped his passes for takeaways.

He’s got a long way to go, Watched a good chunk of Michigan last year not the a huge big 10 Guy Well I will be this year cuz of Oregon but either way he looked like a game manager and didn’t do many impressive things that the other top qb prospects were doing like Penix Daniels Williams Maye Obviously Nix. But he did have some really good strides at times where he did show he’s ready to run an nfl offense And I think he’s setup pretty well with arguably the best receiver in the league personally I think 2nd best and a amazing slot WR In Jordan Addison And Duel Threat Aaron Jones At HB. This year they won’t be exactly postseason bound BUT If he wants to get the No.1 role he’s gotta beat Sam Darnold which is not the most daunting thing in the world. If He Wins the job as well as thrives in the system there’s no telling weather they make the playoffs or not but they need that defense especially the secondary to do their Job and show up.

Not sure the focus on JJM for this year`s Vikings.. Darnold will likely start until JJM is ready (and maybe Darnold starts all season). This year is a transitional year and the Lions and Pcakers look pretty decent.
