In case my point wasn't clear, I'm not saying F2P should buy Mina (9:43) I'm saying that even whales who have both Justinian and Mina should use Minamoto instead, so why would I tell a F2P player to use a commander that even whales should bench? I still use mina to this day and I'm very happy with him, I'm currently using Huo/Joan & Nev/Mina as my 2 cavalry marches and I don't plan to change that any time soon tbh. There's people in my kd who invested on Justinian for open field fighting, and what's more, over Huo and also already having mina; I love to make fun of them with my friends👀

@@Qoo1664 the fun part about that is the fast skill cicle, because once you fire off the first active skill you will get the next 4 right away (2 from Joan, one from Huo and Joan again). The rage bar fills inmmediately

I like that a commander is good for what he was made for. Conquering commanders should be good for rallies and decent for open field. Same way with garrison commanders.

Have you tried Scippy with Zhuge in open field, especially with a lot of marches around? It's insane! I use them instead of Guan/ Scipio and get such good trades. Paired my Guan with CM or Alex. Also just put them in a rss node, get swarmed and leave as Zhuge's AOE skill pops off and I get positive trades every time

Hi, i really like your videos and also your recommendations but in that case you are not correct in my opinion. sorry. if you use a nevsky/justinian rally on the field it is much more tanky than a rally with a mina. for a rally in Aoo or for a rally in kvk even if you do n ot have full territory you are looking for a raw damage dealer to get the building as fast as possible down. i agree on your opinion for open field. There you always should use a singel dmg " giver " + an Aoe dmg dealer. Anyway if we have different opinions on that commander, please keep up your activity . I really like your videos.

@@OmniarchOfficial Frederick, Sargon, Bertrand description is to buff themselves, having 100% chance to deal additional skill damage on next 3 turn. Mina, Rameses: Deal additional damage in next 2 turns. Note the Percentage base, and the nature of Mina, Rameses skill is acting as a debuff, while Frederick, Sargon, Bertrand is a buff (to themselves). Another interesting fact: Justinian expertise skill additional damage won't be trigger in 1v1 duel, because target is not surrounded. The number is 0.

I'm using XY/Justinian in OP. Ever since I pair him with XY, my xy is a lot tankier now than before. Debuff of XY plus 2500 damage will put a lot of damage to enemies. I'm semi f2p I'm not buying crystal bundles, so based from experience not from "simulator" I can say that XY/Justinian is still better than XY/Mina. I'm gonna use mina in the future for the next cav commander.

doesn't Justinian have a better or similar kit than tariq for open field though? scipio/tariq is a great open field march no? you even use it. His rage reduction is Meh in open field. He has more attack stats but justinian paired with an aoe cav march will be complete as it has tankiness now with a potential 3k nuke ifthe target is surrounded. you are right that raw damage is the easiest thing to power creep out of the game. In many ways huo is in that bracket also? no p2p will use mina as they prob maxed Justinian as they are rally leads. so this video really is only for P2W as no F2P will ever have maxed mina.

I can see why you'd say that, and I do use Scipio/Tariq, but mainly because Infantry doesn't have as many good commanders as Cavs or Archers. You'd have to be using 3+ cav marches to even consider Justinian, and even then I'm making the case that it's not worth it. And yes, F2P don't have Mina, but if you could make the argument that Justinian isn't even as good as him in the field, then I'd never recommend a F2P to get Justinian either by the same logic.

Huo has some funky mechanics with his expertise but Nuke is solid while Justinian has slightly less Nuke in active (makes up for it in instant proc) but is more tanky. They both will be power crept out as they focus on raw damage. Many peeps would be reluctant to split nev/Joan so who better suits will? Remember Williams only defensive stats are proc’ed by his active skill. Huo’s defence is situational. Nev/William was better than xy/William as nev bought defensive stats

Understanding the mechanics of this game will save you thousands of dollars. I've wasted thousands of dollars on commanders I had no business buying. Huo has high damage but doesn't have additional damage and no AOE and no debuff outside of a march speed debuff that other commanders already have. I knew instantly not to get him. I have all the commanders I need and will only invest in commanders that can beat out what I already have in my line up. You will never fight 1 v 1 or even 5 v 5. So maximum damage and debuffs or buffs are all you can do before getting sad faced.

I trt to tell people all the time you must read these skills very well and imagine how you will actually use these commanders in each situation before investing. You must watch the eye candy that Rise of Kingdoms does to trick you into investing. Huo was not a good investment too. I will say this on record again Huo is not better than XY at all. I've tested this in group fighting scenarios and that fast cycle AOE with that defensive debuff is very problematic. XY is better than Nevsky too in group fights. I've tested over and over and benched my Nevsky in open field situations. Your commanders in the open field has to have some sort of effect to opponents and some sort of anti effect. What is the commander dishing out vs. what is he taking and how fast is it doing it is the key. This is why I'm dominant in lost canyon and stay in the top 5. I don't use Boudica, Nevsky at all in canyon. Every time I'm in the open the area I'm gets cleared up. I understand when a certain buff is needed and a debuff is needed.

Testing without iconics makes no sense. They make a huge difference. Cavs get a lot of bonus to base health stat from iconics. Double the base bonuses to attack and health with meta gear. Therefore any percentage bonus to that base stat is a big deal. Hence the reason cav commanders with lots of health stat bonus (nevsky) perform so well. This test is not valid. Same with chisgules video where he tested without any gear.
