In the manga it says there was 50 left but what people seem to forget is that minato was all over the place. Jumping from multiple battles throughout the war, and it even says it in the data books as well that he was at multiple battles throughout the war and defeated them all easily. In this one thats shown theres only 50 but we never get to see any of the other battlefields he was on so the 1000 he beat still stands. Unless kishimoto comes out and says he didnt beat 1000 the feats still there. But really it just seems like a odd argument to make because the 3rd great ninja war was what like 2 to 3 years or so long so in that time frame minato could of killed the 1000 in a different battle and we only got to see the end results of the war. Like for example itachi and jiraiya's death happens on the same day just hours apart but for the viewers it was many episodes/chapters apart. So from our prospective we just see a few moments of the war, 1 major war battle and the stuff with kakashi and obito then the ending of the war.

There were thousands of shinobi in each division in the Fourth Shinobi World War. A force of 1000 in one place has been depicted. And Madara showed that wiping them out in a few chapters isn't beyond the realm of possibility. Minato's signature technique allows him to multiple throats per second. The Konoha Shinobi he saved said not to blink or they'd miss him wasting the 50 shinobi on the other side. So at fifty a blink, 1000 are gone in 20 blinks.

In my opinion it depends on the Quality of The Shinobi if it was mostly Jonin then Minato probably at that point couldn't do it as he really has some pretty bad statements against him. Bee says Sasuke(B Fight) was the toughest opponent he had ever fought this version of Sasuke is weaker then Hebi Sasuke meaning Deidara is probably stronger then this version of Minato this also puts Minato massively below Sick Itachi and The 4th Raikage. If it were Minato v 1000 yes. He would undoubtedly have handled it. However Minato was a high commanding rank in his army. Its not uncommon that the commander gets credit for the deaths given out by his squadron. Because it was still his leadership, and his coordination that lead those squads. So its not fake
