I don't hate Boruto. He is born into peace time, not in war time like Minato and Naruto. He have problems, that normal kids in our generation can have. And I think it's good that he "hates" his father, because that means that he cares for him. And Boruto loves his family. It's like if Naruto had a family, he would protect them all, just like Boruto is trying to do now with his mother and Himawari. And basically he is a genius. He is still trying to find his place in the world. I don't think that his final goal will be Sasuke. I think he will change in the future. The problem with the Boruto anime, and manga, is that the manga is monthly. So the anime started at some point of the story, before the first manga events. And they started making fillers, they animated Naruto gaidens, they animated the School trip arc, which is from a light novel. They decided to animate light novels, but there is basically no Boruto character development. They could develop him, but they didn't. That's why I read the manga, because there is an actual story, and Boruto isn't that bad.
