In addition to the cakes I have made from fruits and vegetables, today I will make a simple but very delicious and special cake, which is steamed dumplings. With simple ingredients:
As for the crust, first I will add a little white sugar, a little baking powder, colored water (can be replaced with unsweetened fresh milk), and finally the specialized flour for making dumplings into a large bowl. Then mix thoroughly and cover with plastic wrap to let the dough rise.
The filling includes boiled quail eggs, jicama, carrots, wood ear mushrooms and minced pork. All will be cooked. Once the dough has risen, I'll take each bite-sized piece of dough and spread it out thinly. Put the filling inside and shape into a dumpling. Finally, put it in the steamer
With such a simple method, but is loved by children. The children ate very deliciously, making me extremely happy

My wife is very curious as to where you get your purple color from, we see how you make vey other color but not purple. She was just wondering is if you buy the color or about the process of making the purple color from natural ingredients, it is a very difficult color so she is happy with either answer is was just wondering is all since we haven't seen you make the purple colored dye. I have a personal question for you. You are always chopping your meat by hand, do you prefer this to ground meat? Because it just seams that a hand cranked meat grinder would save you a lot of time and effort, but that is just the way I would do things if I was going to be preparing a lot of dishes that required a lot of finely chopped meat. I am not sure if ground versus finely chopped is better texturally or is that is just a personal preference.

Here is a GUESS. A grinder makes the meat very fine. Maybe smoother than desired. In my childhood days sausages in Europe & the USA were coarser than nowadays, and in my opinion TASTIER back then. Sausages here & now in Central America are much like in my childhood, thank goodness. 🙂 Đây là một SỰ ĐOÁN. Máy xay làm cho thịt rất mịn. Có lẽ mượt mà hơn mong muốn.
