I have never seen a technology developed and implemented so fast, just mind blowing.

Great work Bro! A few simple questions : How can I plug the "Luma scans" on a WIX or Squarespace type website or social media ? *does it have a proprietary "viewer", one needs to download, on the end user basis ?

I should've shown this in the video - imgur.com/a/ziF1Vgr, it has a simple code that you can insert using either Interactive 3D, Panorama, Video, or all three! 🙌 Works on any phone or browser without extra downloads!

thanks a lot for the video .How could we combine the informations of the lidar with the info of the camera to get better models ?

currently the GSplat method that these use only uses Image data. Surely soon there will be some advancements that will use each for more accurate results and less artifacts.

Does this store the scene to scale? I restore streams, and as a field biologist it would be great to record certain sections of a stream that I want to remember in detail. Traditional surveys just can not capture the detail this could. I wonder if there is a way to set nails in the ground for control, with known nothing/easting/elevation. Record two or three nails and georeference. Hmm any ideas how to get this on coordinate and to scale?

Scale is a bit tricky when pushing the splats through to Blender, Unity, or Unreal, still, as long as you have a reference object somewhere it should be fairly easy to standardize the scale. For survey work there are a few devices that utilize lidar for more advanced control, hopefully, someone else will chime in with more insight! 😎😎

About two years ago, I got the idea to make a camera that would create the basis for 3D in the future. Rotating rod with cameras at the ends. It looks like now it makes sense and the technology is ready. If the camera is in slow motion mode so that the rod can rotate quickly enough and the frames of the completed circle are taken quickly enough so that no movement is visible, then a three-dimensional video can be made.

Do you snap pictures or are you pulling frames from a video?
@RealityCheckVR Жыл бұрын
You can do either! Essentially when you upload the video it will auto-pull the images from it and use them with a "colmap" technique to virtually map out the camera positions in 3D space. 🙌
