Have you tried when the leather is cased just to run a crease with your wing dividers so you don't have to stitch groove.. It allows you to keep the top grain of the leather at the same time recessing the stitches below the surface.

yes. howver, it doesnt do the same job. it does a similar job but not the same, nor as good of a job

Yeah I'm struggling to move away from saddle stitching.. but here in the west no one really cares about the stitches.

I don't want your design I am looking for measurements and sizes of buckles and how you measure for someone on those . I have had in the past few days people wanting me to make them one but don't know how to measure for something like yours . Thanks

Trying to get in to leather working myself. Did you do a lot of hand sewing before getting in to a sewing machine?

I knew I wanted to be a tool so if I was dedicating so much extra time to the artwork, and the last thing I wanted to do was spend five hours, tooling something, and then four hours hand sewing something that quite frankly in the beginning is definitely not nearly as good as a machine stitch. My first machine was literally 100 year-old singer that was crank by foot and then about 2-3 years in or so I switched over to a cobra When you spend so much time on art, that is so tedious, it’s at least exciting and fun compared to the tediousness of showing anything by hand, or even hand lacing for that matter
