Lara is GOAT because she conveys lyrics and lives the story she sings. Of course musicly impeccable. Her conveying the story is sincere and ohnest. No fake. Gives me goosebumps every time, no matter how many times I listen the same song. Her singing is like a warm blancet around the shoulder.

Caruso, is an italian song, written, composed and performed in 1986 by Lucio Dalla as a tribute to Enrico Caruso, the most famous tenor of his time (late 19th / early 20th century). He was the first global singing superstar. The story is about the last days of Enrico Caruso, he knows he is dying, and he is remembering all his career on stage and telling his much younger wife how much he loves her. It has very quickly become a classic of italia music and the biggest names have covered it (Julio Iglesias, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, …. and of course Luciano Pavarotti). Even Metallica covered it But for many, Lara's version from the concert From Lara With Love 2000 kzbin.info/www/bejne/eIGVfKGCmtKHbZo is the best ever, as she was able, with her unique ability to convey the emotions of a song, to reveal the real sad story written by Lucio Dalla. I was told that Lucio Dalla himself, after hearing this performance, said that she made it her song and this is the best version he has heard from it. For Lara, this song is really important as this is a kind of anthem for Italy, and she is so much connected to this country. She spent the first few years of her life there with her sicilian mother and grandma. Italian is her first native language. Her husband is also sicilian. She also has been living there for the past few months since the end of 2022.

Hi, Collena. There is clear reason why Stjepan for a long while was hoping for an opportunity to perform together with Lara on stage. Both being maestrous in their own right, they gave here a dream-like, fairytale performance. However, I have no doubt that Lara was in command from the very beginning - rehearsal(s) and during this entire performance. Yes, the connection that the two have clearly established, is, hopefully, the start of another direction in the lives of both musicians. Hauser displays here his musicianship, in how he has picked up on Lara's interpretation of this song. It comes out especially strong (and I think you'll agree) about halfway through where increases also his volume and following Lara closely. Let's hope to hear more of them collaborating for a bit. Yes, also a stunning performance here, but in all honesty, Lara Fabian remains my personal queen. ...and Collena, you are really one of my star reactors. You so skillfully points to key elements within a song or performance that otherwise might have been missed. I am always grateful that you do that because these are mostly important and, perhaps, give ideas to others as to how to look at or interpret certain aspects of a song. Hauser and Mateo is a good performance. Just a good one. There is no emotion there. A bit boring. A fantastic cellist and something like an "opera singer" (sorry but Mateo is not Andrea) performed together. That's all, that's my opinion. " Caruso" in the version of Luciano Pavarotti or Andrea Bocelli. This is great

Lara is a goddess, even in 2024! I can't get over Hauser's irritating shaky vibrato. As a string player, this is the type of vibrato that annoys me the most. I'll take a hundred Yo-Yo Ma's over this guy any day. 🤷🏻‍♂️
