Thanks for your comment. My advice would be to put aside any perceived cultural clashes and ask yourself the question, "is the Qur'an from God". If you come to the conclusion that it is, then automatically any personal issues that you may have with Islam are no longer a problem because culture is arbitrary (you don't control where you are born) and subjective (man-made values and morality), whereas God's revelation is perfect and objectively the best way of life by virtue of God being All Wise and All Knowing.
