Really respect that intro man. Yeah most people are coming from Hi Ren blowing up but Rens back story is a tough one. And the art this man has created basically on his own while still battling illness is nothing short of astonishing. He has some really harrowing songs, probably not great for reactions but maybe a listen by yourself like Insomnia or Dear God. Tough listens but still amazing art.

I think I've watched the video you are referring to and it's heartbreaking. However it's also inspiring to know he fought through those times to get where he is now. This needs to be Ren's year. I feel such a connection to Ren because I have been ill most of my life starting with auto-immune disease at 15 in the form of terrible Psoriasis and then Psoriatic Arthritis at 22. Along with that I have been fighting Hepatic Sarcoidosis for 4 years. It gave me stage three liver cirrhosis and is attacking my kidneys and Spleen. I have also fought Schitzoaffective Disorder since my teens which caused hallucinations, psychosis, and self harm. I am 50 now and it is a tough hard life. I have taken every medication you can think of from teas, herbs, every biologic including Remicade, Embrel, Cocentix, Taltz to name just a few. I have had light treatments along with three inpatient stents in a mental health ward. I have taken some of the strongest anti-psychotics available including the very highest doses of Serogul you can take. Somehow, I gave birth to three children and two are on the autism spectrum and take a lot of work. I just feel his determination and his drive to go to any length to try and get help for his disease. I feel this closely as well because probably you tell someone you are fighting Lyme disease you struggle to find a doctor who will treat everything, or one that even specializes or understands your disease and how to treat it. You get bounced around to different specialists and it is frustrating. No one wants to take charge. Nice reaction! Sorry I went on like that but I just feel this deeply.

Appreciate you sharing your struggles and parts of your life with me I ain't no expert but I have seen how it has effected Ren in parts of his life it is hard to watch some of his videos on it and I can't begin to feel your pain and my son has ADHA and some trates of autism so that I do no how hard it can be with a child it can very hard at times but I wouldn't change my boy for the world makes my boy who he is and love him even more for being a little different I no you are doing an amazing job with your kids like me Don't apologise for the long message Its nice in a way to be able to hear other ppl journeys and stuff hope you have an amazing day today and going forward Always hear if you need a chat or anything Many thanks for your support

@@musiclee the video you couldn't finish, I think I know the one you saw... the thing that impresses me about it is that he wasn't doing that for sympathy, or even to vent... it was put a spotlight on chronic health issues. From what I understand, the doctor in California that told Ren about the stem cell research saw that video. That effort of Ren's to help others may have saved his life.

Great for you to give so much time to plugging for Ren's healthcare support. That video of him from just a few years ago in his Just Giving page is so heartbreaking, and where he is now is testimony to the resilience and sheer hard work & determination he has for his art. He's an incredible inspiration in so many ways.
