This American is headed to TT 2015 and I'm totally stoked! I ride a Busa and thought I was an envelope pusher.. Then I discovered the Isle of Man. I am in awe and have been humbled. Can't wait to see these mad men in person.

I've just watched this clip about ten times, back to back, and I'm grinning like a Cheshire cat. It's surreal seeing the bikes going past at those speeds and I have nothing but respect for the guys (and girls now) who compete at the NW200 & the TT. Absolutely brilliant. Many thanks for uploading, mate - I'm now a subscriber.

This is one of the things I miss the most about home. Love being this close to the action with no entrance fees. Have to plan my next trip around the NW200. Ulster is also the greatest place for car rallies.

As an American I only discovered the TT and Irish road Racing just recently. I have a friend who loves his bikes. Likes to ride fast, on the edge. Fancies himself a bit of an adrenaline junkie. So I texted him a couple of TT & IRR videos. I got a one word reply........"NOPE!!"
@MoonBernie10 жыл бұрын
Ask him, why?... The TT is probebly the highest thing you can achieve as a motorcycle-adrenaline junk...

WSB&MOTOGP. No, this and the TT are real racing. I find it surreal that both of these races are here in the UK. Long may it stay that way.

Its one thing to race on a prepared circuit, and awesome fun. But street circuits? They're for mad people. Full respect for them, but they're still mad :P

I went to the Isle of man back in 2006 and watching this video just brought it all back to me..the noise, smell, and balls of steel these riders have to push man and machine to the limit

Is it normal that this video brings tears of joy to my eyes? If it's not I don't care because this is fucking amazing!
@LaiPt10 жыл бұрын
It's not normal, you are one of the very few who's moved by it to that level. It's rare but amazing to be like that, don't loose it.

it does for me! all TT videos do. the sound of bikes WFO there riders so close to death, its a beautiful thing.

Thanks for uploads Lockk9, the TT is at the top of my bucket list and thanks to you if I never make it there physically, you've brought it me! I am an old man now, a retired high steel structural Iron Worker...I still ride the 1980 "Worlds Fastest Production Motorcycle"...KZ-1000-MKII! Only a handful of humans will ever ride at the front of the TT...They are the descendents of the Nephilim! ;)

this is the Ulster gp in Ireland, mass start all gunning for 1st place, the other big race in Ireland is the north west200 , the rest of the island of Ireland has smaller races dotted around the country on weekends throughout the summer , most of the riders are Irish and British with a few Europeans and Australians new Zealanders Americans etc , the isle of man is the last week of may and 1st week of June and is a time trial ( although it stands for tourist trophy) with riders setting off a 10 second intervals,

At those speeds, it's laughable there's padding on some gate posts and telephone poles visible in this video.
@jackrichards186310 жыл бұрын
trust me . It CAN be the difference between living & dieing I know its a hairline- but one that struck its line across my RH side of my face years ago. Of course that would be a smaller post without the padding and your observation is remarkable.

Its crazy to think theres a human clinging on there. A human body going at that momentum. We were never designed for this. This is extraordinary evolution by the species. And all for status competition and danger speed dopamine. In order to live as humans we need to live on the edge sometimes.

I remember talking to a Marshal at the first Armoy roadrace and he told me there was a turn in the UGP course where he stood and one of the Dunlop brothers could come round the bend full pelt and deliberately brush him with the top of his lid. Love roadracing but prefer the North West 200 and I live slap bang in the middle of the course.

It's incredible and I went to a road race in Ireland almost every Saturday from about 1975 to 1986 and then a few more until I eventually got sick of the deaths. Gary Jess and Richard Britten (I knew Jess) both leaving wives and kids behind, was the last straw for me. It's an amazing sport, but sometimes you have to say some things are more important. It's a pity superbike and Moto GP are so boring in comparison.

The 0:35 mark really shows the speed. Sometimes the actual speed can look slower with other camera angles and distance, but that one is a great shot.

This is crazy racing. Just dont dare to think what will happen to that kid if the bike skid.
@fingeryaface28 жыл бұрын
+mohd mb .....well if the bike skidded and lost control (the bikes are constantly skidding whilst in total control of the rider) and missed him (as it almost definitely would, as his dad has wisely chose the inside of the corner) he would be fine. If the bike hit him he would probable die (probably as likely being taken by the ocean). Rather my boys here than sat in front of an Xbox. I'm so glad that in this over policed/controlled world we all live in that people can still choose to race and spectate 1 meter away from bike racing at over 300KPH on closed public roads. Awesome! -enjoy it whilst they still let us.
@MrGixxernut7 жыл бұрын
