I'm curious to know why some say that they "don't shop at Dollar Tree" esp. if there is one on their side of town? I shop at both low & very high end stores and everything in between...including thrift stores. If I have time, I check out the discount stores before I going to higher priced stores. (In Australia stores can't sell anything that is sold before the best before/use by date). I don't like 'throwing away' money, anything I save I look at as being a "bonus" that I can use to help out others. 👱‍♀️❤

Most of the things sold at Dollar Tree are low-quality items made in China. The chain developed the reputation of having issues with things they carried, everything from misleading labels to reusing adult VHS tapes to record children's cartoons. A lot of people refuse to shop there for those reasons. Personally I love Dollar Tree. As in anything, we need to be informed consumers so we know exactly what we are buying!

I would really love to ask you question, since you showed eye masks here... I started to use gel eye masks because I was getting dry, itchy eyes as a result of the oil glands not functioning properly - so, I would heat the eye mask and leave it on in the night before falling asleep. I'd also "slug" my eyes in oil and vaseline beforehand. And, I LOVED it! It was so calming and I started to think the heat of the gel pack was helping with my fine lines. I was convinced. But, when I told my mother of this new "beauty secret" I'd discovered, she warned me against using heat like that around my eyes and said it would actually make my wrinkles worse... I obviously can't find any information online about it, other than to use cooling systems around the eyes... Was I just delusional? I stopped using it just in case it was the temporary effects I was witnessing from the "slugging" I'd love to hear your opinion if you had a second?? Love your videos regardless, thanks for all the information you give ❤️

For my skin and general health I am so glad that I have worn make-up every day since I was 14...even to school. I wore it to cover freckles, pimples and to make me feel more grown up. I was always one of the smallest in the class. It was the 1980's too, so it reflected the fashion and music I was into. The teachers gave up trying to enforce the rules after a while because I was otherwise respectful, had very good grades and didn't smoke. The titatium dioxide in the foundation and powder acted as a sunscreen during these years in sunny Australia. I don't have freckles anymore and my skin is healthy. I now wear sunscreen everyday and makeup when I leave the house. I never sleep in my make-up and double cleanse. People guess my age to be about 12-15 years younger than I am when I am wearing make-up. I think I look even younger without it! You seem like you don't want to become a chemophobe, so this article on Scientific American should be an interesting and beneficial read for you. "How to Recognize (and talk to) a Chemophobe". Even H2O is a chemical and people can actually OD on water...so no matter what chemical it is "it's not the poision, it's the dose". Mo on KZbin channel Mo's Skin Lab can answer questions about safety and efficacy in skincare. He is pharmacist and toxicologist and replies to all comments normally on the same day. 👱‍♀️❤

These are my favorite videos you do! Actually I bought that soap confetti pop for my 11 year old's birthday:-) I highly recommend that magnesium foot gel with peppermint in the white tube. Not just for foot pain relief but I use it on my achy legs, sore muscles. It actually has magnesium citrate in it so it's like an Epsom salt in a gel form, perfect for when you're already in bed and something starts to ache. Hello dr dray. Wow microdot patches! I feel like our dollar tree in winnipeg will never get those. We never got the dollar tree cleansing balm you posted about in an old dt vlog. Oh wait you posted about one in this video too. Idk why but cleansing balms in winnipeg seem to only be sold in sephoras or a cute k beauty/j beauty store we have here called unique bunny (Ive looked everywhere lol). We do however have satin pillow cases at our dollartree at least (such an amazing deal). Take care!

Dr Dray this is off topic, but I was lead to a site on my phone about a life changing cream and I read about it and I think it did say it doesn't work for everyone and that's not verbatim. I think it's called life cell, it's an anti wrinkle cream and is to tighten up skin too, and it ain't cheap you have to order it from the manufacturer I think I'm going to look for the correct name of it if what I said wasn't correct. Just wondered if you had heard of it and your thoughts.

Hi Dr Dray! I was wondering if you could review the new Aveeno and Cetaphil products. I’m especially interested in the new items in the Calm + Restore line, as well as Cetaphil’s new serums. The vitamin C serum is with SAP and I’m considering it as an option for my sensitive, acne-prone skin. There’s also a new acne serum, with only 0.5% SA, which *might* be gentle enough for me.

I wish you were my dermatologist! I can’t seem to find an affordable dermatologist that truly wants to help my adult acne woes :(
@nadab4750
@nadab4750 2 жыл бұрын
I hope you can find an affordable dermatologist soon. Perhaps you can see a GP that can prescribe you tretinoin and azelaic acid (for acne) which may be more economical than buying higher price OTC retinol & azelaic products. Azelaic acid needs to be applied constantly (as a preventative) anywhere you are prone to get acne, not just when a pimples appear. Azelaic acid keep the pores from getting clogged up and reduces redness. Find a cleanser and moisturiser with saliclyic acid. I use the low priced Formula 10.0.6 Total Lockdown Spot Defending Moisturiser (Hemp & Salicylic Acid) on my nose and chin. It does have fragrance though, but it actually very appealing and doesn't irritate me. I wish I had been aware much earlier of the certain dairy foods/milk powder products that trigger nasty breakouts for me particularly 'blind' pimples on my nose & chin . I hate to have to cut out anything from my diet, but through personal experience I now know that I can't consume full fat milk and soft cheeses (mozzarella, camembert/brie, blue cheese). Hard cheese like parmesan and low fat 'plastic cheese' slices are OK though. If I make/order pizza I use/request parmessan instead. I only have "lite" milk in my coffee, not full cream or the "fat free/1%"...because that's not good for acne either. I now use lite soy milk on my oatmeal/breakfast cereal. I still continue to have a little bit of chocolate every day, but I can't eat the luxury brand melt-in-your-mouth creamy chocolate (like Lindt balls) . Regular non-luxury chocolate seems OK for me. I discovered that it is the WHEY protein that breaks me out, so apart from certain cheeses & milk, I ditch anything that lists WHEY 🚫 as an ingredient (inc. packaged pasta/macaroni with sauces, protein powder suppliments/vitamins/shakes etc.) If I do eat these things, almost immediatley I can feel a hard pimple (or more) developing under the surface of my skin, either on my chin or nose. They last for about a month! I don't know whether this will help you or not, but I do hope so. Good luck! 👱‍♀️❤

@ericalampley480
@ericalampley480 2 жыл бұрын
I don't have dandruff but I have curly hair which is dryer by nature. Try to keep the shampoo only on your scalp. Don't run your hands through your hair or scrub it between your hands or anything. As best you can. Get a very good conditioner and try to keep it off your scalp. You want to try to only condition your actual hair. And follow your normal rinse with a cold water one. Also, I would shampoo and condition first and let the conditioner sit for your whole shower. Like a mask almost. That's what I do. Hope this helps.

If I go two days it looks like you poured a bottle of oil over my head and my scalp will break out in pimples. If you have dry hair/scalp I can see how you wouldn't need to shampoo but once or twice a week. Me on the other hand my scalp would be full of sores and absolutely disgusting. Plus dirty hair gives me a headache. My scalp actually gets very sore. There's no way I could go days without shampooing my hair, and I could NEVER just rinse my hair with water.

@@sstephens2175 I’m the same way. I tried for months to wash every other day and even tried to stretch it every two days and my nail was an oily gross mess and no, you can’t train your scalp to produce less oil. I don’t care what anyone says. I have a little luck with a cleansing conditioner but my hair still feels oily after a couple days and looks it. But I basically shampoo every day.
