This band started out as a "jam session for Mayu". Mayu was the singer Sally in the rock band Lipstick but wanted to try something new. They liked the chemistry and in late 2019 formed the band. Then came COVID. They are all veterans, Saki (with red guitar) was in the metal band Mary"s Blood. They did their 1st US show in LA. Mayu is a vocal chameleon. The did a cover of a Maximum the Hormone song which had 3 vocalists (2 male, 1 female) Mayu sang all 3.

The drummer sang the the parts of the female drummer from MtH. At least in Zetsubo Billy. It was funny because it was completely unnecessary. Mayu could have easily done it or anyone else. But the drummer sang it to be authentic. :) I think it's interesting to look at Nemophila from the perspective of the drummer. She did nothing but solo drum covers for years. Then she's working with 1 person. Then a full band. Then she's in Nemophila. I don't think it was all about Mayu. Their drummer also has a huge KZbin channel. She did tons of drum covers and has 220k subscribers. What did they do during the lockdown? Covers for KZbin. She has several drum covers near 10 million views. Entirely for a Japanese audience. Not a word of English and almost all Japanese song. Excellent Slipknot cover snuck in there though. Not one of her popular videos. But it's fantastic. Here it is. It's fantastic. This is what their drummer was doing years before Nemophila. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJi5oomIbsyph8U

Amazing reaction my friend!!....You are the right person to make a reaction video and give us your opinion about this incredible singer...In 2017, the music world was shocked by the bursting onto the scene of a 22-year-old singer named Dimash Kudaibergen, who performed on the famous Chinese competition show for professional singers called “The Singer”... It was just it was necessary for this young man to make his first appearance, making a cover of one of the most difficult songs in the world, a famous French composition called "S.O.S. D'un Terrien En Détresse", to be considered from that moment on as the best singer in the entire planet....No one in the musical field had ever seen a human being, being able to reach vocal ranges above 7 octaves and several semitones, that is, all 88 keys of a digital piano, which reaches a little more than 7 octaves and as if that weren't enough, sing the more than 12 languages...Since then all kinds of experts (Vocal coachs, singers, musicians, analysts, singing teachers, youtubers, reactors, etc.) have dedicated themselves to reviewing their presentations to try to understand how someone can sing this way...The incredible thing is that that presentation in China was in 2017 but what Dimash has done in these 5 years is to further improve his wide vocal range, which is currently practically above of the 8 octaves... The Covid pandemic stopped his concerts worldwide, all with tickets sold in just seconds, via the internet, but at the same time it ended up catapulting him to the top of popularity worldwide...Anyway, since I think you are one of those reactors who have not yet met this impressive singer, here is the link of that presentation in China in 2017, with the song S.O.S. and I would like you to mention my name as the person who recommended him to you...You have to be prepared because your channel will explode with an avalanche of views, comments and new subscribers....I leave you one more recent video than the others, so it does not have the same number of views as the previous ones, which have millions of views, but it is a more complete video, with an intro, subtitles in several languages and with the improved quality of audio and sound....kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHW7ZHmeot6Bl8U

As has been said, Nemophila first got together in the late summer of 2019. A young vocalist named Mayu was seeking to put together some musicians so she could really figure out the types of songs she can sing. She had a friend named Haraguchisan who played bass but she needed a drummer and guitarist. Both of them had recently left minor bands that were struggling. Mayu decided to approach a well respected and very talented guitarist for help. That guitarist was Saki who at the time was the founder of a well known all female band called Mary's Blood. Unknown to Mayu, Mary's Blood was on its last legs so Saki had the time and desire to do something new for awhile. Mayu suddenly had one of the best guitarists in Japan. Even better Saki brought in Tamu Murata, a great session drummer, and Hazuki, a guitarist who had been in a short-lived but well-known all female band called Disqualia. Nemophila has been called a supergroup because of these three, especially Saki. The five clicked so well that they decided to turn themselves into a permanent band. Mayu went from just looking for musicians for a temporary project to being part of a band with some of the most talented musicians in Japan. As for Mary's Blood, their most recent album was not a hit and the band, after a few farewell performances, formally ended in April. Saki can now fully concentrate on Nemophila. With Saki piloting the ship, Nemophila will continue to do very, very well. I think the next song you should experience is their live performance of Oiran, which is their first original song. This story isn't wrong. But their drummer was a beast before Nemophila. Check out her Slipknot cover. Her KZbin channel was huge. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJi5oomIbsyph8U Also young vocalist? She's 27. Ado was in highschool. Nemophila is a PROFESSIONAL band. It's no accident they are great together. They are all great individually. They are all industry veterans. It's not some random collection of young girls looking for their first chance. That isn't their story at all.

Incredible convergence of talent...all of them are Aces, but together this band is unstoppable. MAYU's whistle-tone fry scream and the way she switches it on an off with this band's sound really sets NEMOPHILA apart. The chemistry this band has with one another, and their charisma is the secret sauce that is launching this band into the stratosphere. 🌸✨🌠

Nothing Nemophila do is bad, every original song they have on KZbin will put a smile on your face. The “loose and fluffy band with the sounds from hell” are not to be pigeonholed, so if you do it lottery style, you never quite know what you’re gonna get. Their first original track is Oiran and the best version online is live from Naon Yaon. Thank me later. Another shout for Hanabie. You *MAY* be ready now. lol They are the essence of Harajukucore, which is what happens when girl’s J-Metal meets Harajuku and there is a resulting supernova. “We Love Sweets” is their calling card but they are everything in that song and video amplified to 11. They haven’t released a bad song either. Be warned, they are as addictive as the sweets they love…

@@DivergentReactions I hear some Polyphia in their guitars. It seems obvious to me that they made a decision to go for a modern sound. Their previous bands didn't sound like that. But if you're a real musician you can play a lot of different kinds of music. I also feel like if you're a vocalist you should be versatile like Mayu. If you're not playing an instrument you should be able to sing a lot of different styles. Like Corey Taylor. Or Ado. Have you heard Ado yet? She's fantastic. She doesn't sing 3 words in a row in the same vocal style. (Slight exaggeration)
