From 1st floor you can expand to outside more, so you will have more space. Why so much limitation?

Different wand types are good at different skills and tasks, so you ultimately need to have a decent mix. You pretty much want to have a fire wand for cooking, for example, and to speed up demolition, plus they can be pretty useful in combat. You almost always want to have an Earth Wand ready before you start getting into combat and exploration so you can have them tanking on the front line. Nature wand users are great for efficient harvesting and so are usually one of the first 'must have' wand types. Of course, not all tasks are equal. Not just in the obvious sense, but the fact that you can relatively quickly create 'Quilted' bots for transporting means you wouldn't want to have wand users just for that easily replaced task. The same goes for cleaning, of course. It comes as no surprise that wand choices, and when to get basic ones, when to aim for highly gifted ones to take as staff, and which ones are fine to have at low-levels that you can churn students to graduation with, is just one more layer of strategy in this game. For an example, while you always want an Earth Wand on the front line of your battle formation to tank, they get that skill as a lowly level 1 wand type, and can be a student. Meanwhile you may want to carefully nurture only a really talented Lightning Wand user with the highest available level of wand to be your researcher.

I agree. The wand types just really make or break your start up. I think if i would have started on relentless i would've been beat by the fog. Luckily the relaxed mode let me have time to learn this. The lighting researcher is great idea. I get so caught up in trying to max out medallions early on that I pushed my progress super far away.

Why don't you create specific rooms like Austere bedroom, Workshop etc to get bonuses? For example the bedroom downstairs is not an actual bedroom because it's not Private (one poing of entry). There are keyword, furniture and luxury requirements for a bunch of rooms to make them a specific room, otherwise it's gonna be a regular school room with no bonuses. Also every wand is good at something, that Dark wand teacher you got in the beginning is the worst for early game, they are good at quilting which you're not doing at all early game. Best are Nature/Earth/Air for early game taks like cutting down trees, carrying stuff etc

Thanks for the comment. Honestly in this video I think at the end I figured out there were specific rooms. I didnt know they were a thing in the game. Luckily I am on ep 10 now and have pretty much every specific room in the game. Also I agree with your starting lineup. Thanks for the tip.

does it get to the point where the fog is to hard to move away? i am liking this game but i hate games that has a forced end.

No not really. As long as you start a garden you can farm the mats fairly easy. There is a relentless mode that speeds up the fog, but I haven't tried that mode yet.
