I will admit plugging your ears doesn't completely eliminate all noise, but i think the secret to the trick is actually a speaker placed against her head. Otherwise there would be no reason for him to place his arm there and do the 3rd eye reference at the end of the trick.

no, she was subliminally exposed to an imagery of a birdcage with a trigger gesture. So when she's in deep concentration as Dan put his finger on her forehead, the word or imagery of bird cage resurface from her subconscious. It's actually quite a common tactic that hypnotists/mentalists use

The whole trick is done via vibration and bone conduction! 3:46 the "push" is from the chair, big delay in compared to him touching the woman. Made obvious cuz the guy told them both to sit back well. 5:50 message sent via bone conduction, hence why she had to plug her ears.

Here's how it's done: As soon as jimmy sits on the card, notice how he acts sort of nervous. The magician proceeds to place his finger on the girl's forehead, asking her to close her eyes and ears. Notice how jimmy then pretends to scream at her. When she is asked to reveal what he screamed, she just says what was already rehearsed in the scripted routine. Truly amazing.

Probably...but you can also do the trick by knowing what card Jimmy chose "there's only 4 cards so he knew which one was missing when he put them away after jimmy sat on it". He then has an audio wire which runs through his suit jacket sleeve which says "bird cage" (he picks what it says). Notice how his hand is on Chrissy's head for no reason (there's no such thing as a third eye it's a gimmick, and gives him a reason to put his sleeve on her head). Chrissy then hears the word "bird cage" from the top of her head which makes her think that it's a thought in her head when really it's just audio being played above her head. But I agree with you...they probably scripted it.

@@Sungasta of course he did, because he knows what card Jimmy picks - I'll explain: 4:25 he picks up the cards 4:30 starts a fake shuffle where he counts the cards to be positioned in the exact same order later on 4:35 notice how he brings the Football card to the front (same position as it started) So he's always in control of the order of the cards. Football, Flashlight, Candle, Birdcage, Bell, A(...). Jimmy picks the third to last card, so it's always going to be Birdcage.

Its actually not scripted. I know how to do this trick. He basically has a bone conducting speaker (i think thats what theyre called) in his sleeve. Thats why when he touches her third eye he rests his sleeve on her head. The speaker then plays the audio saying what card jimmy has which is pretty easy to determine for a magician before the trick even starts
