Last summer I purchased a 2016 B23i with the 56 side discharge deck. I was doing cartwheels and figure 8s getting it loaded, it’s so quick! It’s a beautiful little petite machine that I was almost embarrassed to run In public at first because it’s so tiny. After running mid mount mowers all these years. But what you notice most is how well it treats the lawn, it’s light and doesn’t slide and skid around and I’m in hills and you can mow a hillside the same way time and time again and it doesn’t wear grooves. It is light built, but that’s why they handle like they do. That’s asking a lot to mulch heavy wet leaves down to nothing, especially oak leaves. When they first come off the tree they are tough and don’t mulch well. Which is why I’m a bigger fan of bagging than mulching, it just looks so much cleaner.

Hey Brandon, hope all is well! I'm glad you finally had a chance to really put that mower through it's paces. When you were here a couple of years ago, I think you had that look of disbelief when I was telling you about it...hahaha. Hey, as far as the location of the switch/button, yeah, I was thinking the same thing when I first started running them too. Now it's all second nature to me. Just like the first time I used a Walker 30 some years ago, they were different, but I got used to running them quickly. Overall, I've found the design of the new B's to be sturdier and easier to work on and service. Originally, my biggest concern was the electric PTO, but I have yet to have an issue with any of them. They are definitely a solid machine. Again, I'm glad you had the chance to review one. I definitely wouldn't hesitate to add one to your arsenal when you're ready. Take care, my friend.

I saw eden lift the front of gis deck up a notch in heavy leaves. Not sure if it's same model and blade set-up as your demo, but he does really well just mulching. Good on walker too for letting you review it. They know you and ranae do premium work and aren't gonna be satisfied with just an acceptable job. Cheers

On the really deep leaves, it helps to raise front of deck to get leaves under the deck rather than pushing them. It does create a little more side blowout.

I just picked up my new Walker B23 on Monday and put the 48”mulching deck on it and I’m very impressed on how it handles the hills because that was my biggest concern. It’s fast and of course, the cut quality it great as expected with a Walker. Also have a T23 that I purchased last November. A leaf collection machine.

I just got one today here on good old cape cod Massachusetts cut a few today man oh man was it great I got a B23 as well 48" so now my wife has a b and I have an old MTghs from 1998 that I redid everything on

so I have a 1998 mtghs collection and love it my wife and I own our own small landscape company and I just 2 weeks ago purchased a B23 for my wife and man oh man I love it definitely the new main mower upgraded her from a craftsman tractor definitely a huge upgrade cut quality unmatched and stripes so beautifully

The b was a pretty impressive mower. The h is nice but it takes up a massive amount of trailer space.

In Florida we mulch everything even shrub clippings mulch blades work the best l got a walker demo it cuts perfect wish l had one 😮

walker's are great with bags for cleanup but that was pretty bad with leaves and blowout....my V-ride's with gators and chute blockers and drop the front bafflies will pulverize those leaves in a couple of passes and no blowout....Those were oak leaves and don't get too wet so that's not the problem...You should be able to use a machine all year, not just in the summer..Not impressed.

Walker is going to go the way of the dodo if they don't change things. Forget the bs gear drive deck and go back to belt drive and reduce the cost significantly.
