because it simply sucks. it's bulky, heavy, and worst of all, traps heat. they went to all the trouble and research to create a lightweight SAF uniform that dissipates heat, then basically throws all that effort away with the lbv. most countries try to make the vest as small and compact as possible (see US for example), but for some reason ours covers the entire upper body. a majority of the area isnt even covered by the bullet plate, it's just wasted cloth, especially the sides.

Man , memories of BTP this year (as a second year soldier , now a CPL in SAFAG cluster , SBE , got up PESSED from F -> C9-> B1) - got 30/32 for IMT - I didn’t even need to wear earplugs cuz it wasn’t even loud lol - managed to get 31/32 for BTP🎯 - felt the same nerve wreck as REC Ramesh when I went up to collect the ammo for the first time)😨 - been 6 years since I last fired a live SAR-21, last time it was done was back in 2018 , at MMRC as part of a Poly Army Experiential programme

Not everyone is trained to become a soldier. But when I was a recruit, the instructions are easy to follow as there were very repetitive by the commanders. It is hard to go wrong unless you panic and mess up. I don't blame those who do, afterall not everyone can manage the stress of training to be a soldier. We are all different!

It's a new initiative called the "weapon chamber flag". When inserted into the chamber, it indicates that the weapon is clear of rounds.

I pray that this series is to be shown to Filipinos who are in my generation, looking at Filipinos in this generation have a weapon that will never go away from them, and that is their keyboards. I’m hoping one day, Philippines’s version of NS will be resurrected again, paving way for the discipline to spread all over Philippines like a plague.
