Mindful Discoveries with Rupert Spira | Quiet Joy of Being
Contemporary spiritual teacher and author Rupert Spira believes that happiness is the very nature of our self or being, and we share our being with everyone and everything. It’s the feeling of sufficiency, of ease, of peace-or the realization of our innermost nature as being.
Excerpted from an episode originally airing on Sounds True One, where special episodes of Insights at the Edge are available to watch ad-free and live on video with exclusive access to Q&As with our guests.

Rupert Spira’s deep interest in the nature of reality and joy of being began at an early age. Moved by the poetry of Rumi, and inspired over the years by Dr. Francis Roles, Swami Shantananda Saraswati, and the philosophies of Gurdjieff and Ouspensky, he delved into the classical teachings of Sufism and Advaita (non- duality).

I don't know of anyone that explains this concept better than Rupert. Just listening to him "explain" the awareness of beingness, the peace that passeth all understanding can open it for us. Blessed be.

It was a bit funny when I first read the title in the teaser image "The Quiet Joy of being with Rupert Spira". That said, Rupert is amazing. His clarity of communicating these ideas is unmatched - and of course I know what he really wants to bring across is not just ideas or concepts. It is direct awareness of being.

Simple, profound (in its simplicity and uncomplexity). Oh, the truth of it all. Peel away the gray clouds and there it is, always and ever present. I will take this in again and again and when I forget, I will do it again. Let it absorb, permeate, until it become our breath, our beingness pure and devine. Thank you.

Have been searching for meaning. Listening I realized I had to a large extent related to “ meaning” as an activity, doing and contributing through a meaningfull activity. Perhaps a life with meaning is a life lived from being..

@@lynnstorm4590You’re caught up in duality. Negative isn’t bad. If I told you your house is being robbed, is that negative? Don’t be a positivity police.

why always music in the background with these videos, if something is perfect, nothing to add, not even your personal musical taste, which is not mine... it is also contrary to the awareness of being, without anything added

The music is blasphemy, it reflects a lack of sensitivity on the part of the creator and uploader. Make it harder for me to hear what is being said why don't you.

When I was born, I had no concept of "am" or being as I had no concept of anything . To say that my bain was not invaded by my senses of light, noise, touch is not possible. So I disagree with the suggestion of quiet and silence. Likely I was overwhelmed by the change in my environment...maybe this is a poor analogy?
