🥨Recipe for pretzels with sesame seeds / Sesame covered turkish pretzels: simit 🥨
Ingredients ⤵️
For the dough:
200 ml warm milk
200 ml of warm water
7 g dry yeast
2 tbsp. sugar
80 ml of oil
550 g of white flour
1 tsp salt
For sprinkling:
2 egg yolks
150 g of sesame seeds
Step 1:
In a bowl, put lukewarm milk, water, yeast, sugar and 2 tbsp. from the flour. Mix well and leave in a warm place for 15 minutes to activate the yeast. For a good result, cover with foil or a towel.
Step 2:
Add the oil, the flour and the salt that we have mixed with the flour.
Step 3:
We mix until a soft and elastic dough is obtained.
Step 4:
Grease the bowl with a little oil, place the dough and cover with foil. Leave in a warm place for 60 to 80 minutes to double in size.
Step 5:
Divide the dough into small portions.
To shape the pretzel, roll each piece of dough into a long rope (see video). Then,twist the two ends.
Step 6:
Brush each pretzel with egg yolk and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
Place the baking sheet in the pre-heated oven for 20 minutes or until deep golden brown and cooked through.

Hello . Drinking warm water in the morning has many benefits . Personally, I prefer to drink a glass of boiled water and then coffee. I tried replacing it with tea, but it didn't work for me. It's all based on personal preference. Thanks for watching 🌹
