Super appreciative of your testing man. I am very happy with the results. You are a man amongst men. Way better thermal than the dreamer and that makes me happy. Thank you so much brother

Hello. If the negative part of an 18650 touches the negative part of another 18650 battery, would it short? Lets say you take two 18650 batteries and the wrap on both batteries is torn on the sides of the battery...if the two batteries touch, would it short? My vape mod uses two 18650 batteries and i am concerned in the future if the wrap is torn a little bit it might short. Because the batteries sit side by side in my mod. For a battery to short, does it have to be negative touching positive? Or can it short when negative touches negative?
@batterymooch4 жыл бұрын
Brian L in a regulated mod that has the batteries wired in series (most of them) one of the batteries does get short-circuited if the two metal cans touch. You must never allow this to happen.
@BrianL70004 жыл бұрын
@@batterymooch So it only shorts while it is in the mod? What if they both touch outside of the mod?

Brian L no problem. Both are at zero volts then. Check out Ep10 of my Minding Your mAhs series. It’s about this topic.

@@batterymooch Just watched the video. Howcome in the video you said to make sure the wrap on the bottom negative end should be wrapped properly too? What if the wrap on the bottom is not perfect? I actually noticed earlier today on one of my 18650 batteries that the botttom of the battery wrap has a little bit of a tear but, you cannot see any metal exposed. It is a Hohm Tech battery.

A bit late to the party but just bought this and have been enjoying it a lot. I don't own too many mechs but I was thinking this beast hits hard. I can see why now. Awesome job you are doing for the vape community. Always informative and knowledgeable. Thanks for the video.

Thanks Mooch for this incredible video on testing the Heavy Hitter! I'm absolutely loving my black cerrakoate Heavy Hitter and how hard it hits! Very nice work moochy! :) That notch system is genius, I invision that future parallel mechs should use them to make maintenance easier and the battery in/out quicker! I know from personal experiences that I'm not a fan with polishing threads with a toothbrush especially when theres loads or they're fine threading lol

Another awesome test! Thank you Mooch for all your hard work in this industry!! I just got mine a couple of days ago (Black/copper) man it hits hard!!! I was worried with the lug but It may be better with it because of surface area contact. (def easier to clean then threads) I love it and havent put it down since I got it. I do wish the lug wasnt reverse its taking a min to adjust, but Its awesome for bat swap!. Stan, Heavy MV & Timesvape did a nice job and kept it affordable!! I had an RDA on another mech and swapped it over and first words "wow this hits like a truck" Love seeing your thorough testing and the numbers that show it!

Much appreciation mooch.. I have this mech I like this mech It is what it is.. Oh BTW I swapped out the peak contact from the HH to the keen and it made the keen have a super short throw and imo performance is so much better on the keen.. The throw on my keen is now maybe a millimeter and it makes everything nice and snug on the keen. I understand that the cup is bigger and all but it helped a lot. Maybe u should test the keen with the swap out..

Really well designed, impressive numbers in the voltage drop testing. Prolly will get me one of those, once they are avaible in europe, and pair it with a QP Design Juggerknot RTA V2. Because 28mm is the new 25mm.

Very impressive tests on this device. Im kicking myself for not snagging one from someone selling it for a reduced price, however I only own one Mech so far (the Mechlyfe Arcless) and I'd probably prefer to get this brand new anyway. Breaking it in myself would be more beneficial to learning and getting more comfortable with the device. Thanks for all your excellent work Mooch!

I could see the gold plating on the ball contact beginning to be removed due to arching which is why I don't get gold plating on things. It's just one of those things that happens. Great macro photos and great review. Minimal voltage drop which is good. I am more concerned with consistency of the drop resulting from placement of the bayonet switch and it's position at the time of pressing, it is what it is. Overall nice mech.

Hey Mooch. I just recently bought my first mech. I was given a copper Dreamer. Then I liked it so much I bought a Tenatious Unicorn. I scanned through your channel and I didn't see any charts or vids of any tests on it. Did you ever make one? I was curious because of the solid silver contacts.
@batterymooch4 жыл бұрын
I haven’t tested the Unicorn. The metal used in the contact will have only a tiny effect on the overall voltage drop though. The contact smoothness, the size of the contact patch, the threads and how well they contact, all those have a much, much larger effect than the contact metal choice.

Glad that the Heavy Hitter is working well for you! There is a lot of info to absorb and lots of new terminology to deal with when first starting with these videos. You can just check my mech voltage drop table to see how well this mod did compared to others. The link is in the Description section of the video. What battery are you using? What is your coil resistance?
@ItsZited4 жыл бұрын
@@batterymooch thanks for the reply. Im using a Molicel P42A although i got a samsung 30T on the way, and .28 ohms
@batterymooch4 жыл бұрын
Zited you should be getting decent use out of that P42A at that high a coil resistance. Using mechs means a constantly changing vape though as the battery discharges. Depending on how many puffs you take it might only be a couple of hours before you feel the power level has dropped too much. Regulated mods can offer much more power and their output stays steady as long as the battery hasn’t dropped below the device’s cutoff voltage. The 30T has less capacity than the P42A but hopefully it gives you a better vaping experience. With a 0.28 build though you are at about 45W-50W. Is that the power level you were aiming for?

I hope i get a response... I also use the same mod, using Molicel 21700, is it safe to vape in 0.10 ohm?
@batterymooch2 жыл бұрын
Run the Ohm’s Law equation to see how much current you are drawing from the battery with that resistance. You MUST know how to do this before you use a mech! Compare that current you will draw to the battery’s current rating. I recommend staying below the battery’s rating but some people go over it.

Hi Mooch, I was wondering if a "spot" of copper grease would be beneficial around the contact ball?
@batterymooch3 жыл бұрын
Copper-filled grease? It might help slowdown oxidation where it was applied but I don’t think it will help to improve performance much. If you test it please let me know how it works out for you.
