Thank you mooch. Ive been following your fb page for a long time and this is my first time knowing you already have a KZbin channel. Much better communication through video than just reading plain text on your fb posts about 3-4 yeara ago. Keep it up! Much love from Philippines 🇵🇭

Been waiting on ordering once since Mooch hasn't made a video about it. Now that it's up just ordered it and got the last one. Thanks Mooch great timing.

Awesome video. Cool to see the differences between the 3 metals of the exact same mod. I just find this stuff interesting.

I found with my tenacious unicorn that the grease had same effect. Switch is same style constant contact with plates. If grease is removed from ball and plate but left on bottom of plate the plates dont rattle and power loss is reduced.

I have one too and after I used it everyday for 6 or so months I finally cleaned it all off but wish I hadn't wiped the grease off cuz now the switch is crunchy where before w the grease was smooth. So yeh idk man I prefer the grease on the unicorn . I hate crunchy switches

hey mooch would it be possible to also test what numbers you get when closing the circuit like we would if we were vaping normally so then we know how the arcing may affect the voltage drop. so basically hit the button to read then push the mech button so the arcing is also added into the equation since in real world usage it would be a factor. It would be cool to see it done both ways, the way you do it now and the way i suggested but if you cant or its too much trouble then i completely understand. great work as always mooch and thank you for all you do for us 🤜🤜
@batterymooch4 жыл бұрын
I was originally going to do that. The biggest concern I had was that the amount of arcing that has built up and the amount of, and type of, cleaning that was done before can have a big effect on the voltage drop. If I test before and after the arcing test then I feel everyone will use those numbers as what they’ll get no matter how the mech is used or cleaned. Just doing 200 presses and re-measuring will probably result in just tiny changes in the voltage drop. The much bigger changes will come in time after lots of use and will depend on the device, how hard it’s used, and how it’s cleaned.
@danebeee14 жыл бұрын
@@batterymooch Ook gotcha. Yeah i think both ways have value, It helps to know how it will perform when clean and also how it perform after it has built up a bit of arcing.

03:29 and 14:07 - Switch Issue: Screwing the atty NOT all the way down on the tube (leave the gap about 0,5 mm open) - then fastening (screwing in) the switch - then screwing the atty all the way down on the mech … should solve the problem Cheers: Thanks for the vid !!!
@batterymooch4 жыл бұрын
Thanks but I think that won’t tighten up the thread connections though due to the constant-contact switch “compensating” for it?
@ohmslawyer35994 жыл бұрын
@@batterymooch hmmm … if I look at the button/switch design (screwing the button inside the tube) a tighter tension (or pressure) on the battery (between 510 and switch) should produce more tension in the swich-threading. But you are correct: In a different button-design (like the TimesVape Dreamer switch) the tension in the threading is produced by threading the switch into the mod - definitely better and tighter !!! --- Cheers !!!

Hi Mooch, like your vids, very informative for vapers ! I have a request for yor MYM series. Can you do "your thing" on the "CoilArt Mage Mech Mod V2 Stacked Edition" ? Its a copper 21700 mod which comes also with a stackable tube extension. I'm quite new to tubes but I think its performing great. I also heared only good things from other sources (YT,WWW). Maybe you can get one to give us some data how good this mod is. Best regards !

I’d be happy to take the time to test it but someone would have to donate one for testing (which I then give away to a Patreon patron). Unfortunately I’m just not able to buy all these mechs, especially these days.
@cavemanlovesmoke43944 жыл бұрын
I have a tenacious unicorn mech that had the grease in the switch and after 6 or so months of everyday use I decided to clean it but now the switch is crunchy without the grease (the switch is the same as this) so yeh I still like grease in it cuz it makes it feel smooth I'll take the power loss lol . I always thought dielectric grease was supposed to help conductivity but guess not. Still I'd rather have the grease on some switches ya know? Anyways I appreciate the mech tests mooch ur the man
@batterymooch4 жыл бұрын
A dielectric is a special type of insulator. Dielectric greases are designed to provide insulation to prevent very high voltage devices from arcing to places it shouldn’t. By design the grease will insulate when used in a mech. But, it might help to reduce arcing damage (I haven’t tested this) and can help make threads smoother. But if any grease gets between two contacts or is not squeezed out all the way from between touching threads then there will be a voltage drop.

There’s no one best battery. It depends on how you vape. Check out the Description section of this video and follow the link to my blog at ECF and grab my Recommended Batteries tables. You can watch Minding Your mAhs Ep31 too.
