Thats exactly what I was about to comment... I would absolutely bet that they're taking advantage of human tendencies by recording where tiles were uncovered after thousands of games and optimizing the game to make more money using those human patterns. It's an easy tactic for them to make more money.

There's webpage he shows around 1:17 titled "How Roobet is Provably Fair" which explains how they do not control how the bombs are placed. The casino gives you an encrypted copy of the "seed" they use to construct the game. Whenever you want to verify fairness, they give you a key to decrypt the copy, but then they'll also generate a new seed if you want to keep playing.

It’s very shady. I’m in the UK and every site I’ve ever gambled on has RTP listed for each of their games, and they usually even list several different RTP for different types of bets. Must be a regulation thing.

This helps. Clearing 4 spaces with 2 bombs is x1.41 on the site I play, same as clearing 2 with 4 bombs. So I'm guessing the variation is similar across the board.
