I think good morning feels like it emphasizes the lower back more and the RDL feels like it hits my hamstrings more. And the good morning is a great supplement to building a strong squat.

High Bar Good Morning: 155x 15 Low Bar Good morning: 155x 20 RDL with straps : 275x 17 RDL no straps: 235x 11 General numbers I have hit really pushing sets on these movements. Never heard anybody say they can GM more than they RDL. Not wearing straps on RDLs does reduce my performance drastically because my grip is weak, but still way stronger than a GM.

@@ridenm7748 Are you doing RDLs with over 405 lbs for reps? If not don’t worry about fatigue just keep the sets to 1 or 2 working. RDLs are slightly more taxing because of the load ability.

How can he do way more on good morning than a Romanian I would like to see what his form is because a 300lb good morning is very good Compared to a 270lb Romanian the Romanian should be way wasier

Pretty simple to answer. Good mornings are great but they don't load the top . RDLs you're feeling much more tension at or close to lock out .

Why is everyone loading your GM and RDLs this much? I do both as supplement exercises, RDLs on my deadlift day and GM on my squat day. My working weight for deadlift is 220 lbs and I do strength with big compound lifts, so 5 reps 5 sets, but I do 10-20 reps of my supplement exercises. My RDLs are only 99 lbs. I squat 121 lbs back and 99 lbs front (I'm 45 and have osteoarthritis, so something always hurts and prevents me from improving squat for now) My good mornings are 88 lbs. Do people have good mornings day? Otherwise, why would you go so heavy on a supplement exercise?

Its possible. Ive only been doing goodmornings for a few months and use a plate for 20 rep sets. So i domt think its impossible to add 2 more plates over time incrementally

I've only been lifting 7 months and I can good morning 295 x 6, probably 315 x 4 or so. Im not THAT strong. I can squat like 355 360 max... It's totally doable.
