Chin-ups and weighted chin-ups. Fantastic abs (all anterior core) workout that not many people know. I could do dragon flag without any specific abs workout after half a year of w-chin-ups. Someone somewhere made a muscle activation study showing highest abs activation with chin-ups out of all possible abs related exercises. (rumor-anec-data) Also anything on gymnastic rings, rope climbing is torture for core. The biggest plus is that most of these are not 'abs' workouts. For strength only L-sit hold, and leg raises on bar are great for beginners to intermediate.

I don’t train my Abs much due to the fact that they get trained with other exercises throughout the week, I don’t have a six pack but I do see definition, the biggest thing I have found is diet and cardio plus resistance training all work together. Sometimes I see that if I’m holding more water I look fatter so I don’t fuss to much, here’s a tip, look at yourself in the mirror in the morning before you eat, you will see that this is probably the best you are going to look for the rest of the day….why? Because food, water, work get in the way of a flat stomach.

"pushing the levels of how lean i was". what does it mean? cutting even more calories? doing more cardio? i'm a man,41 yo, 168cm, 62 kg, doing home bodyweight training and kettlebells daily except sunday, i walk around 10k steps a day and 5000 steps slow jogging , i eat around 1400 calories daily, and i'm losing weight since february. i lost 9 kgs and i have the same problem with the pouch. any advice , please :)

Just a little observation. I think your calorie intake may be too low. A good calorie calculator can help you.
@dannyruiz3329
@dannyruiz3329 3 жыл бұрын
Ditto to Michael Philips - your caloric intake is waaay too low for a man, even on a fat loss program. You can negatively harm your T levels and your overall health. Just eat 2k daily, then be at a caloric deficit at 200-300 calories.
@benz1378
@benz1378 3 жыл бұрын
Stop eating low as 1400 cals, its ruining your metabolism, switch to 2000 cals or 1900 cals before its too late or else your metabolism can get adapted to 1400 cals making it lower for you to lose weight

You don’t need to do anything else. If you want a flatter belly and strong core: Be in a calorie deficit, cardio that you enjoy doing and going to be consistent with, and weightlifting. Don’t listen to all the other BS. You can also build muscle while being in a calorie deficit. Want to get lean? Eat less...
