This is a review on the Mindshift Backlight 36 liter camera backpack for wildlife photography. I purchased this camera bag because I needed a bag that was large enough to carry the super telephoto prime lens I recently purchased. The Backlight 36L easily fits my Canon EF 500 f/4 ii lens, Canon R5, and Canon EF 100-400 ii lens. This is a great camera backpack for carrying wildlife photography gear and I would highly recommend it.

Just bought this bag and it has SO much more room than my last bag and is more durable. It’s crazy.

Great choice Evan. I've had mine for about two years and it's an indispensable piece of kit. Mine is configured to fit; Z9 with 500mm PF attached, Nikon D5 and D500, 70-200 f/2.8, 16-35 f/4, 1.4 Tele, 2 extra large batteries, extra CFexpress and XQD cards, Rain Cover, and there's still a little room for other gear essentials. When I travel I put my MacBook Pro and my LensCoat RainCoat for my 600 f/4 in the outer front pockets.

Have you had any issues using it as a carry on? It is riding close to those limits. Has anyone given you a hard time at the airport?

Is the LowPro bag is the one you had the 350, that wouldn't take the 500 f/4? I suspect not with the camera mountented, but the lens only it should fit.

If been looking at this pack, for it's back access feature! The other features are good too; but that was main reason. The price is what's holding me up! Have save up my allowance from Household 6 (wife😁) before I can get it!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
