How to install MindTheGapps gapps package on LineageOS 20.
Not on Lineage for microg.

Any idea whether Google Wallet with creditcards would work, when downloaded via the playstore? I have LineageOS21 with GApps installed and trouble to get the Google wallet running. Do you have experience on this subject? Thanks

Make sure you are using the correct mindthegapps package for your device. Try reinstall, you will have to factory reset in recovery -> reboot to recovery (without booting lineage) -> sideload mindthegapps. Also try without sd cards or sim cards inside (www.reddit.com/r/LineageOS/comments/yuy0c4/cant_connect_to_google_los19_mindthegapps_12/). Which device are you using?

@@khalfizaydan2012 Sorry to hear about the problem. It depends on the device and many other things. When installing lineage and gapps, have the SD already in the phone and formatted. I suggest reflashing lineage and gapps. Choose the smallest gapps package first.

I installed LineageOS 20 (incl. Lineage Recovery) and MindTheGapps on my Galaxy S10. My Question now is: Can I just update LO via OTA or do I have to update manually and flash MindTheGApps every time after installing the new LineageOS version?

Yes, MindTheGapps (and most new Gapps) have addon.d support, so you can just update LO via OTA. The Gapps will update via playstore etc.

I never could get mine to install. I installed Lineage OS 21 and I downloaded both ARM and ARM64 Gapps and both gave me an error.

That's unfortunate. I am assuming you did the "reboot to recovery" step. Usually that's where the issue happens. Otherwise sometimes having a different version than compatible with the android version. Is there a particular error or code that it gives?

Hello there. I recommend trying a different MindTheGapps package. "Nano" usually works. Also, ensure you have the right architecture for your device (arm vs arm64 etc). To reflash, you might also have to factory reset again, but remember that will wipe all your data.

Samsung SM-G900F Qualcomm : I just installed lineage-21.0 and it perfectly work. Then I installed MindTheGapps-14.0.0-arm64 but nothing has been added. Phone still perfectly work but no Apps. I used TWRP. Can You help me please? Thanks

There is a key step in having to reboot to recovery *before* the very first boot of lineage os. This allows gapps to be installed properly as system apps. If you didn't do this step, then you would have to factory rest the device, reboot to recovery directly, then flash gapps. Let me know if that helps!

Hello, unfortunately in my experience and from what I have read, formatting SD as internal storage doesn't work well, even if it works. I think LineageOS stopped supporting it due to issues.

If you don't have a supported device, you may be able to manually do it with magisk fbind module( github.com/VR-25/fbind) android.stackexchange.com/questions/226465/fbind-how-to-use . I haven't tried it myself yet.

@@juanvarghesesanu1306 I should have asked, which device are you using? Also, be sure the SD card is supported. Again, trying SD as internal memory is no longer recommended. If you want to try fbind (which I haven't yet) If you are unfamiliar with rooting, etc., you might risk losing data. Yes, twrp should work. I flashed MindTheGapps via TWRP adb sideload, and it worked on Troika.

ty for responding it worked with adb side load I'm using samsng device but there is something wrong with google play and services it keeps pending when trying to install an app its lineageos v20 and nikgapps basic v13

Yes, you can install after lineageos. BUT, if you have already booted into lineage then you have to go to recovery, factory reset (this will erase all your data!), reboot directly to recovery, and then flash gapps. Also this is for plain lineageos and NOT lineage fo microg.

@amaziahhamayun4208 Recovery mode depends on the device, but generally there is a hardware button combination to press during boot. You can also enable USB debugging again and run "adb reboot recovery". BUT, to reboot to recovery (from within recovery) after fresh install (factory reset) then you must go to "Advanced" --> Reboot --> Recovery
