Strategy to try beating Pinnacle retreat: It is best to create schematics for mining and other structures for this map, cause you might need to try again and again. 1. Manually mine 500 beryllium and 50 graphite, and build beryllium mines, with pipes for hydrogen (No hydrogen yet). Build a steam condenser and keep the mines running. 2. Manually mine 500 beryllium and 50 graphite and build graphite mines, connect to power and keep them running. 3. Manually mine 700 beryllium 600 graphite (this time it would be faster), and build 2 silicon factory and sand factories. 4. Manually mine beryllium and build a large beryllium wall around the core. 5. Manually mine beryllium and build a tank factory and a ship factory, near the core. Don't build mech factory as they require tungsten. (These units are going to defend the core, because turrets are too expensive right now. And having few turrets are ineffective as well.) 6. Manually mine beryllium and build all available steam condensers. It's important to keep power at positive. (Don't move units yet, try radar to explore the area. Place units near the core. Remove the radars once the area is uncovered. We are gonna run low on power) 7. Manually mine beryllium and build large wall at North choke point. Build 2 beryllium turrets water cool it. (Important to fortify this first, since most units comes from here) 8. Manually mine beryllium and close off southern choke point. (Don't build turrets too close to enemy walls or guns, or it will waste beryllium. Best to send excess beryllium to northern guns, it's gonna need a lot) 9. Manually mine beryllium and close of entry points at east, build some turrets there. Now, the base is gonna survive for a couple of waves. Don't waste too much time, as waves are going to get bigger and stronger. 10. Move stells, to the north, take out enemy turrets, (aim for conveyers first), the will fall easily. Clear the area. And fortify the position as soon as possible. 11. Manually mine beryllium and Build two tungsten mines. Use green condenser to supply water. 12. Once you have enough tungsten, build hydrogen for beryllium and graphite mines. 13. Once you have enough resources, build few (atleast 4) oxide factory, divert heat from oxide factory and build a carbide factory. 14. Once you made enough oxide, build some ozone turrets. Best to supply ozone form two factories, soon they are gonna need a lot of ozone. 15. Once you have enough resources, build power generator with arkysite. (There are few available on the eastern side. there are some on the north. Leave some for cyogen production. 16. Once you have enough resources, build tank assembler, and cyogen factory with electric heaters. Were gonna build 3 vanquish. 17. Once we build 3 vanquish, go destroy the small base at North, the base will fall effortlessly. (Don't go too close to enemy ozone turrets.) 18. You're gonna destroy another small base in the way pretty easily, along the way to the pinnacle. 19. Drive through the lava and approach pinnacle from the north. Don't fight with nitrogen turrets, they are dangerous. (Drive your vanquish one by one over the lava, moving all three could lead to grid lock.) 20. Once you start attacking from the north, enemy power supply, enemy lava supply and enemy nitrogen supply would be destroyed effortlessly. (Dont go too south, there's an afflict in there. Stay away from lustre too, until it runs out of nitrogen) 21. Once afflict runs out of lava, it's going to be ineffective, as it's running on a single electric heater. Try aiming at the power chords. The afflict will fall, revealing the core. 22. Cleaning up the pinnacle is tedious work, it might take a while before we can build factories here. Build tungsten wall around the choke point. Build atleast 4 Nitrogen turrets to defend the place 23. Build the core. And start building the basic factories. This is our main base now. We can now abandon our original base. 24. Build power generator and a phase fabric factory, we are going to build one end game turret, powered by phase heaters. 25. Build a single layer of phase wall around the choke point and supply it with power. If possible have some hydrogen menders. That's all. Now the pinnacle base is 100% defended against any number of enemy collaris.

Oops, i missed the part, where you need to capture base to North of the original core, for some thorium to build carbide factory. Stells, with some ozone bombing could work, or you could use some t2 tanks.

yay I beat it with pausing. Practised last wave in editor to see what defenses would work. I walled off 2 chokepoints above my core and went to the bottom part which has easy defences (tier 1 stells and eludes outrange diffuse and sublimate, breachs don't attack when circled by eludes), less spawn points and all the resources I need. Built like 18 afflicts and lustres next to enemy spawns with carbide/tungsten walls and repair towers. + tier 3 mechs

5:52 Should have spammed small berryl walls to absorb the frag.
@ajamessssss Жыл бұрын
Phase fabric walls can totally stop those projectiles.
@Drexium Жыл бұрын
@@ajamessssss Phase costs a lot of carbide to produce which is better spent on lustres, surge is slow to produce as well and there are not many good spots for it on the map.

Should players look at the map in editor? Or is blind playthrough winnable?
@larofeticus Жыл бұрын
I would guess a blind playthrough is not winnable. Some amount of learning the map, either through editor or retrying is expected.

How do you do the textboxes? Can you make a video on how you made it

World processors.
@larofeticus Жыл бұрын
The text box is from a map objective. The annoying part is putting that much text into the tiny entry box in the map editor.
@larofeticus Жыл бұрын
World processor only has 4 options for text, and none of them pin to a map location like that.
