The thing is, for some of those who are complaining about some of the designs, in a RTS, both timing (Which in mindustry seems to not be so big of a thing, at least, not yet) and speed are stronger than efficency. If fixing something, or using a different, slower to build infraestructure, isnt mandatory, then you'll probable be better off just leaving things as they are and invest that time into building more systems rather than improving old ones, as most of the time you'll get a time/impact ratio by doing more things. The exception is, when a material is hard to obtain in your current point in the game, in which case getting it in the most efficent way will be better just because it is the only option at that point. As soon as building more is an option, improving old things kinda stops being worth, unless they straight cease to work (In which case, fixing them might take you less time than building a new system, but will have the same impact)

@@kewlsanic That is the ideal scenario you wanna get with practice and/or premade designs. It takes time to reach that level and the game is kinda young, but in most RTS the community and the pros already reached that point, so eventually the same thing will happen with mindustry

I have played the older versions without the Mechs and "campaign" thing, and when I came back to play I saw the changes and, I was like wtf happened? And stopped playing since I thought it was better before. Then after alot of time, I saw this and was like, bruh, that may be actually good. So I started once again. It's still hard to get understanding of new stuff, but I was inspired by this, so thank you!

Lancers are definitely overused in PVP, (esp in hex war maps) but that's because they're easy to set up yet kind of overpowered for their cost. Their range is actually greater than it shows because the beam pierces through it's target. Also the shield projector does nothing to prevent Lancer damage!

I would recommend using bridges more often in every gameplay, especially when playing with teammates where things can get messy real quick. You save much more space and the base will always be very organized.

Yeah I do use bridges more often now. To be honest I was a complete noob in this video and had only been playing mindustry a few days. the problem with pvp is that if you are in a 1v1 and attack when the enemy is not prepered most of the time they will quit etleast for me

Yes most 1v1s are horribly one sided. Usually first one to rush daggers win. This could be fixed with Rated matchmaking, so you're only placed against players of similar skill. Also some non-rush maps, maybe with neutral forces in the middle you have to kill before you get to the enemy.
